LOL. Mostly I call him by his real name. We did get a good laugh today though when we saw a sign describing a play as “wonderfully nasty”.

Had a Beatley moment on my twitter feed, learning that today is the anniversary of the recording of The Ballad Of John And Yoko . @BeatlesByDay is a new follow, I’ll always be up to date!

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Hmmm…. I’ll have to think about that one…
Oh! Is it Pink Floyd?
In a more stay-on-topicable vein, I always have lots of Beatley Moments when my mother puts on her internet radio, because they play lots of Beatlesongs.

Joe and I had a shared Beatley moment this evening. We walked into a cafe as a cover of Real Love was playing.

I just stepped outside to do a bit of grocery shopping when the shopping centre’s glockenspiel began to play. It was a medley, beginning with “You Are My Sunshine”, which then progressed into “Yellow Submarine “. Totally made my day!

Watching a repeat of an Australian music quiz show Spicks And Specks , and Damien Leith got a Beatles question right “What other Beatles song do you hear at the end of All You Need Is Love ?” so there you go, he’s a Beatles fan. He also started out singing lead in a death metal band in Dublin. Now he’s an Aussie!

Meh, anyone can see that’s 1D…. *runs for cover*
Beatley synchronicity moment: watching a video of an old Australian comedy show and they put in some “subliminal images” and one of them is this album cover. That was all the way back in 1992! The very next image is the Band On The Run cover, then Led Zepplin 4, then Born In The USA, then Sticky Fingers, then Wish You Were Here. Not a bad collection!
