Ye’l’ ne’er get me ta believe that balderdash! a-hard-days-night-ringo-8

Really, I don’t mind “Daydream Believer” too much. It’s just anything, even Tell Me Why , is a bit of a letdown after And I Love Her

But let’s Get Back on topic, shall we…

I’ve never been able to get into the Monkeys. There is something about their being that makes me not want to give a crap about anything they have ever done.

Watching the Drive Chip and Putt golf competition for kids at the Masters course. As a kid was putting, the announcer intoned in a golf whisper “9 year old Tyson is a big Beatles’ fan.”  Do you suppose he’s on the Forum?  Wonder what his username is?  Hmmmm.

I made a 36-hour visit to London 6 weeks ago. It was “work”-related (it’s a volunteer job, hence the “work”), but I also had some time to myself. One of the things I had on my schedule was an all-ginger Abbey Road photo shoot, but that was not going to happen until midday so I did some shopping beforehand. When I got off the tube at Bond Street, I knew it was going to be a great day: “And Your Bird Can Sing ” was playing in the shops! I managed to get my hands on a pretty nice Abbey Road bag too, so even though it was a short stay, the Beatles were very much a part of it :-)

Was watching the finale of the Voice the other day, and Ricky Wilson and Stevie sang (read: yelled their way through) Get Back together, as you all probably know by now. That Stevie guy won btw.

I’m watching an episode of Bones and there was a Beatles reference!

One character mentioned a ‘dancer’ named Abbey Road and another said “That’s enough, Ringo.”

Beatles fans must’ve written these episodes. Beginning of the episode after the one above and there was this line, “Talk about Instant Karma .”

Mr. Kite said

Watching Bones (yes, again) and there was another reference of Instant Karma .

Two episodes later, the one I’m watching now, a line about someone on drugs included the phrase, ‘Magical Mystery Tour .’

Hey look! I’m watching Bones again!

A few episodes ago (maybe a little longer,) there was a mention of Yoko, only these were black metal bands. I’m sure a black metal version of Yoko would be frightening!

The episode I’m watching now there was a seemingly pointless ‘Yellow Submarine ‘ reference.

These have to be written by Beatles fans.

In the Big Bang Theory, Raj jokes that Howard’s father might be in a Beatles cover band because “if he has [Howard’s] nose and hair, he’d be a great Ringo”.

This probably belongs somewhere in the film category, but I don’t know where. There’s a trio of related films coming out called The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby . I haven’t yet found out why it’s called that.

My friend watched it and told me why:

“Jessica Chastain’s character is named Eleanor Rigby . Her parents met while standing around waiting for The Beatles, because they’d heard they were going to reunite and play a show in New York on a rooftop, but it never happened.”

Sort of a Beatley moment, I mentioned on an irc channel I run that I’m up to 5k words on my Paul bass effortpost now and I got told that the Beatles suck. So I threatened to ban them and now they’re nice and quiet  I wouldn’t really do that though, I try hard not to be intolerant at least with music, but it’s not easy!! paul-mccartney

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Today I was searching the web with that-friend-that-likes-Michael-Jackson-that-I-talked-a-bit-about-in-the-thread-to-fangirl-over-George and as I have bookmarked this site, my friend decided to enter, in that, another friend seeing we were talking about the Beatles comes and is like “Weren’t the Beatles five?” and I was like “Nope, they were four, the Rolling Stones were five. a-hard-days-night-ringo-8” But, obviously, a round of silly questions about the Beatles wouldn’t be complete without the great, the awesome, the magnificent “Aren’t they all dead?”.a-hard-days-night-ringo-13

And in an advert for the intendency of Montevideo (the capital city/department) there is a guy with a Let It Be shirt.

When you are with him in person, do you call @Ron Nasty “Ron,” or his real name, unknown to us?  Just one of the questions that arise when you drag people out from behind their screens. a-hard-days-night-george-4
