Is Julian's solo work any good?
I really like his music, not because he's John's son. When I was a teen he had a short-time span life as a teen heart-throb and I jumped in that bandwagon. He was the singer I had (and I still have) a huge crush on. But that doesn't make me admit that some of his music is not good. His first album is ok, my favorites are Valotte and Too Late for Good-byes. He released 2 albums later. I hardly ever listen to them.
His last 2 albums are way better. Help yourself is a little overproduced but some of the songs (like The Rebel King, Saltwater and Listen) are just fantastic. Now, IMHO his best work is Photograph Smile. My favorites are Day after Day, And she cries, I don't wanna know, I should have known and the title song which is truly beautiful and hauting. His voice is not wow.. but he can definetly sing.
The last song he released was Lucy, about the girl who inspired the paiting and therefore Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds . It's a cheerful tune. I like it.
Now, don't expect to listen to a John Lennon v2.0. I can say that considering the big elephant on his life is John Lennon , he has done a good job so far.
Ok
I had a Beatle moment today when my Dad asked me what I'm giving up for Lent. He said “Why don't you give up Beatles music?” and I was like “But Dad.. listening to Beatles music is not a sin!!”
I can't imagine not listening to Beatles for 40 days. I'm giving up soda, snacks and bad temper.

Don't do it!! I actually found a loophole in the whole Lent thing.
I gave up giving up things for Lent.

OMG. I'll try that. My Dad won't buy it, but I'm so definetly trying that.

I sat down in the bus, noticed someone had doodled a walrus onto the seat opposite me. As if it were all designed, “I Am The Walrus ” started on my playlist just then

I appreciate that. Actually you just caught me during a more lucid moment.

Nop. I had to choose something. So I gave up snacks like potato chips and soda. That won't be hard though.
What I'm truly giving up is gossiping. That's gonna be hard…

I didn`t realize that you were laughing at me.
I wasn't – that was for mith.
Don't worry – you'll know when I'm laughing at you.
Besides, how can I laugh at someone who is smart enough to give up JB for Lent? Nice one.

I saw someone wearing a shirt that said “All Things Must Pass .”
Also, I heard Glee club practicing “Twist And Shout “– the Beatles version!
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.
