This is really obscure, but I was asked to volunteer at the movie theater last night, and they were showing American Harmony, a documentary about a barbershop quartet conversation. And during some performances, there’d be a credit in the bottom left corner naming the group performing, the song, the publisher, etc. And I noticed that one of the songs is owned by MPL (it was “Fugue for Tinhorns” from “Guys and Dolls”).Like I said, really obscure.

Well it is Sinatra, so I guess you could understand why MPL would want to own it. But really obscure, indeed!
When you wake up in the morning, turn on your computer, and think your coffee has gone dotty on you:

Image Can Not Be Found (until I quoted it to alert you to this fact, then I saw it). Now I think Dr Robert put some *ahem* sugar into your coffee.

They just moved me to a less intensive care unit at hospital and I figured I’d create a Beatley moment (do George moments count?) Anyway I put on ATMP , to mostly smiles from the staff as we passed by.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Beatley/Policey moment!
I stop at a radio station because I hear Synchronicity II playing, and right after Get Back comes on.

If I ever get married, I’m definitely playing Here, There And Everywhere .

Just heard Paul’s ‘Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five ‘ in the trailer for the Ben Stiller film ‘While We’re Young’, only reason i looked up.
Do we have a thread for non-Beatles films that feature Beatles and solo songs?

Was at a shop today and someone said, “Yes, it is”, which as you know is a very common phrase, and dad started singing “Yes It Is “. That’s usually my job, so it was funny to hear someone else do it.

Darius Rucker, the pop-turned-country singer, was on Kathie Lee and Hoda today (hey, don’t judge-you watch crap too). They asked him his favorite album and he said “Abbey Road , definitely. I still listen to it all the way through a couple of times a month.” Pretty cool, huh?

Ahhh GirlI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I forgot to post this, but about two weeks back we had assembly and all these school bands were playing and one band played Come Together !
I was so happy when I heard those first opening chords and I sang along loudly throughout the whole song. At the end I was the only one who stood up and cheered really loudly.

Well, to quote the Ultimate Authority on Everything (Wikipedia) “their 1994 debut album, Cracked Rear View, was the 16th-best-selling album of all time in the US, having been certified platinum 16 times. The group was especially popular in Canada, having three number-one singles in the country.[2] They have sold over 21 million albums in the United States alone.”
I’ll bet you would recognize this tune:
They also had a hit called “Hold MY Hand”–Beatley!

I forgot to post this when it happened, but I went out to brunch on the beach this weekend and had two consecutive Beatley moments.
FourFiveSeconds was playing, which I found interesting because it’s the first time I’ve heard it while out even though it’s a really successful song.
Then there’s a guy who plays the steel drums there every week and I heard some familiar notes ringing out of his metallic bowl. I couldn’t place the song at first (it reminded me of something else for a moment) but then I realized it was Imagine !
