I just finished teaching a COMP II class. I give the students a worksheet to complete during class. They have to find one book that the library owns and one journal article available in one of our databases. They get to choose their own topic for the assignment.

As I was walking around the room checking on their progress, I noticed that one student had John Lennon : a Biography written down as his book title. Squeeeeeee! So I asked him if he was a Beatles fan. He told me about his collection of Beatles and solo Beatles music. Squeeeeeeee! So I got him to open another tab on his computer and had him go to beatlesbible.com and told him that this is where I hang out each day. He thanked me for showing him the site. Squeeeeeee!

This guy spent a year doing a second of animation each day. At 1:03 there’s a Yellow Submarine reference.

I was watch a show where some one asked some one else to name the Beatles members and they said “Ringo, uhhhhh… Chomper, Bunny. . .” I forgot what they said for the last one. The next person they asked got it right.

Let’s see. Chomper is probably George. Bunny would be Paul.

Yes, I’m tired and being silly.

However, I’m trying to think of some more Beatle Metaphors. Iike that game. https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..metaphors/

I went to lunch with the director of our branch campus today. The hostess sat us down at a table facing a picture of 1964-era Paul McCartney . a-hard-days-night-paul-7

I went to work today wearing showing off a Beatley shirt I got over the holidays and showed it off to my fellow Beatlemaniac boss (the one who also bought tickets for Outside Lands after I told him about the show).

Later in the day:

Boss: I haven’t heard you say one thing about the Beatles today.

Other boss: Her shirt.

Boss: Oh, your shirt. I haven’t heard you say two things about the Beatles today.

^Do they owe co-writing credits to Cynthia, Linda, Olivia, and Maureen.

She climbs up a black ladder, there is a black canvas at the top, a barely visible smudge of white, and a hanging magnifying glass. She takes the magnifying glass and hovers over the smudge of white. It says “YES”!

I can’t believe I know this much about The Beatles! I’ve come along way in a short time. Thank you all so much for helping educate me.

We are celebrating carnival and yesterday one of the groups (called murgas) used For No One as their closing song or something (I didn’t watch it and I’m waiting for someone to upload the full performance on Youtube, or at least I hope someone does it). If you wonder how I know which song was without watching it, I found a little part of the rehearsal that shows them singing a bit.

SNL had a reference during the Weekend Update by recurring character 1860s entertainment critic Jebibiah Atkinkson. When asked if he liked anyone ever nominated for a Grammy, he said, “Oh, The Beatles! If anything, THEY ruined Yoko!”

The man loves a big party!

To add this here, the announcer said, “and we have royalty from Liverpool.”

According to someone at the Fans on the Run FB, he performed at the DirectTV pregame party with Kanye and Rhianna.

Also, Joe Walsh posted a photo at Twitter.

Someone at Paul’s board clarified that Kanye and Rhianna performed, but not with Paul.
