We’re having to replace a book that has some missing pages. When I looked it up on Amazon to get the price, I saw this summary/description of it.

“Shakespeare has made the big time. No less than the Beatles or Liberace, Elvis Presley or Mick Jagger, Shakespeare is big-time in the idiomatic sense of cultural success and widespread notoriety.”

The title of the book is Big-Time Shakespeare (Is Shakespeare Great? Or Is It all Just Hype?). It was published in 1996.

A few days ago I mentioned that I’m going to do a “unique interpretation” of a Beatles song for Music in school, and I think I’ve finally got one sorted out.

It’s been a choice of Girl, Norwegian Wood , In My Life or A Day In The Life , but I’ve just taught myself my favourite song, I’ll Follow The Sun , so I’ll probably do that.

I’m going to do it in a more solemn style and slower, but I’m also going to add new verses in place of the repeated ones. I’ve done this kind of thing in private with Across The Universe  and A Day In The Life but nobody but me has ever heard them.

I’ll keep you updated when I’ve finished writing!a-hard-days-night-john-5

OK! Lyrics finished!

One day, you’ll look, to see I’ve gone,

For tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

Some day, you’ll know, I was the one,

But tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

And now the time has come, and so, my love, I must go;

And though I lose a friend, in the end you will know,

Oh, oh oh oh

One day, you’ll dream, and you’ll hold on,

For tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

Some day, you’ll fall, and won’t go on,

Yet tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

And now the time has come, and so, my love, I must go;

And though I lose a friend, in the end you will know,

Oh, oh oh oh

One day, you’ll find that I have gone

For tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

And then, you’ll look at what you’ve done,

‘Cause tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

Tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

Yes, tomorrow may rain, so I’ll Follow The Sun .

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 Interesting alternative lyrics, MrMoonlight; I would love to hear an interpretation of that song with those lyrics.

Yesterday , I was at a ceremony where they were giving loans to those students that had an 8.5 and up (to 10) of score last semester (I was one of them). While waiting for the arrival of the governor and president of the city to that place, a certain elderly man was playing with his guitar and harmonica and singing to entertain for a while the impatient students, and he played ”She Came In Through The Bathroom Window ”.

Even though he started the song in the wrong verse: ”She said she’d always been a dancer…” and his English pronunciation was like 75% accurate, it was fun and interesting to see this man daring to play a Beatles song to an audience that wasn’t that fan of The Beatles (except of me of course).

By the way, he also played a version of Imagine though he messed up the verses too, and tried to sing a verse in Spanish but was confusing, still, he pulled it pretty well.

Let me take you down 'cause I'm going to...Strawberry Fields.

I know someone in real life with the last name Starr. And whilst Ringo’s awesome, it’s easy to say that I hate this guy. With a vengeance.

For some reason we can’t use earbuds in our office, but we can play music with speakers (backwards, I know).  I mainly listen to The Beatles and Elvis…anyway, my coworker got some speakers and asked for equal music time in the office…she has been playing funk, smooth jazz, reggae, soul, gospel, R & B…this afternoon I had a Beatley moment when she decided to play The Beatles radio on Pandora.  I thought that was nice.

Well, that is nice of her, I guess. Will you surprise her one day and play a song or two from one of her genres during your be-in-control-of-the-music part of the day?

It could be worse. At least I don’t get a headache.

I do try to play things she will enjoy sometimes.

I’d go the other way and play tracks like What’s The New Mary Jane , the 6 minute She’s A Woman outtake with Paul burping a few times, leave the room just before P.S. Love Me Do comes on. Then start a conversation asking if she liked them or not, she says no and then you jump in and strike a deal that you don’t play those and she doesn’t play any funk or smooth jazz. Obviosuly if she does you’re knackered but worth the effort.

Ohh… holy s***… As i was typing this it
