I’ve got one for this. Recently, we were assigned a task in Music to make a “unique interpretation” of a song, so my teacher put on a few songs and covers afterwards, including Yesterday and Ticket To Ride . I was just smirking and singing along, but a couple of other people in my class didn’t like the really old music, and went up to the teacher’s computer and put on a dubstep remix of Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball. I’m not even joking. You can’t make this stuff up.
And if you’re wondering what song I’m doing, I haven’t chosen yet. I’m thinking of doing a slow cover of In My Life , Norwegian Wood or Girl.

Heavy fog outside which always reminds me of the beginning of the Imagine video.

I heard 4 Beatles song yesterday: 3 at work and one on the way home. Made the day just a little bit better.
Last week, I believe in the news was showing this viral video of road rage. The name of the video was “From Road Rage to Instant Karma “. One of the news stations that posted about it on Facebook put: “Instant Karma is going to get you…” to which I couldn’t help but finish the lyrics.
Wednesday, I went shopping for clothes and the store’s intercom was playing “Silly Love Songs”.

I was at a run-through this morning for a fashion show that a local boutique is holding to show-off what their stocking for summer 2014 (yes they do this every year, I was modelling in it last year….never again ) Anyhoo, I know the owner’s daughter and I’m good friends with her and they were looking for music to play during the whole sha-bang and one of my suggestions is going to be used (way!)
Oh-Oh by Linkoban
Now why is this a Beatley moment? Well I first heard it at Stella’s Fall/Winter 2014 fashion show
(Fun game: When watching any Stella McCartney show, play “Spot Dhani” always good craic)
So it’s more of a Beatles-daughter moment but screw it, I’m not creating a new thread

I was in a clothing store today and usually they only play all this dance and hiphop s**t, so hearing We Can Work It Out was a nice surprise.

Good on you for suggesting the song.
So despite your reservations will we be seeing you on Next Top Model?
Oh definitely! Look for the ridiculously-red-faced girl with wild curly hair, that’s about a foot shorter than everyone else.

I was doing this science review packet and I got into the genetics section and saw a picture of these two guys with granny glasses and I was like “they look like Lennons!”. Then I read the multiple choice question and it was something along the lines of ‘what can you tell about the heredity from the pictures of John Lennon and his son Julian?” It was rather random but I do get excited whenever something Beatles-related pops up in my schoolwork.

My son heard John Lennon ‘s “Woman ” for the first time today while in the car, and he looked to my wife and said “Hey Woman , I’m thirsty, get me a drink.” Almost made me run off the road laughing so hard.

I turned on my car radio just in time to hear Prairie Home Companion featuring an intentionally humorous but ultimately painful ode to the iPhone to the tune of “If Not For You .”

I’m reading the debut novel by Roland Orzabal, of Tears for Fears, entitled Sex, Drugs and Opera. In it, the main character mentions having once owned a recording console he bought from Paul. Makes me wonder if that’s based on real life.
Edit: Also, a scene takes place in Studio One at Abbey Road .

Is any of it set in Bath? That’s where Tears For Fears come from (as do I).

If there were people there with you, did they quickly excuse themselves to the WC?

Well they were trying to get me to shut up, but it took me a while because I kept singing without thinking about it.

I was at a presitation and there are two speakers playing different songs. One of the speakers stared to play Revolution and I stared to do a little dance. Someone noticed and asked which speaker I was dancing to and when I pointed they said’ you dancing to Michael Jackson?’
