My sister had exams last week and one of them was for the subject Art History. She came home all enthausiastically and told me there were a few questions about Sgt. Pepper and it’s artwork

Did she know the answers?

I think so, judging from what she said they seemed like very easy questions, along the lines of ”why could the cover be seen as pop-art?” and questions like that. The answer to that would be because it’s a collage, by the way.
Cool. Always good to get a Beatles question thrown in and a bonus when they are simple.

During the latest How I Met Your Mother episode, Marshall says to Lily: “I vow to finally stop petitioning Paul McCartney to let Weird Al record Chicken Pot Pie to the tune of Live And Let Die .”
It was a funny moment.

I was at Pier 1 Imports the other day, and they played New, and then at some other furniture store, they were playing a song off Kisses On The Bottom (it wasn’t My Valentine , but I don’t remember what song it was).

I’ve watched that show twice. At the end of one of those episodes, they played ‘Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let it Roll)’. I was floored.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I was watching Ali Baba and the Gold Raiders and one of the Raiders looks alot Like John Lennon ‘
It does look a little like John, yet that hairstyle is more consistent with Thirty Three and 1/3 era George…

I’m not sure if these count as Beatley moments since I created them, they didn’t happen to me…
But I spent a few hours watching the DVDs for Ringo Rama, 2012, Memory Almost Full , Brainwashed, and the Traveling Wilburys Collection.

Wish sometimes you Yanks would remember things like NCAA mean nothing anywhere else. What were you watching American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer (proper football, but just like WWII events, you nick the name, disguise it, and call it American!), synchronised swimming? Don’t hide your guilty pleasure behind an acronym!
Hey! It’s not my synchronized swimming!

When we went to Disney World for a wedding recently, the rehearsal dinner was on a little beach between the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. I just read that the Polynesian was where John signed the papers to dissolve The Beatles partnership in 1974, so I saw a piece of history without even knowing it. I’ve been to Disney World twice…my first time to go was in 1973, when I was 3.

I stayed at the Polynesian in 1994 for a week, way before I knew anything about the Beatles. It is a beautiful place to remember so now I can think about John there too.

My drive home today was sponsored by @Mr. Kite
As I pulled out of the parking lot, I got behind a car with the license plate 326 KTE. I automatically said, “Hi, Mr. Kite.”
Later, I got behind a car that had one taillight out. When the driver tapped his brakes, it looked like the car was winking at me, and I thought of your avatar, Mr. Kite.
When that car tapped its brakes to me for the last time to go off on the exit ramp from the expressway (the wink goodbye so to say), Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite is the song that started playing on my mp3 player.

Now if only the license plate was on the taillight car, and Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite was coming out of their speakers! Already coincidental enough, that’d be just scary.
