Sixth Beatle, did that conversation seem a bit surreal? I imagine it would.
I found out that a lady I work with was caught up in Beatlemania back in the day. I bought her a copy of NEW. This morning she came in saying that she had me to thank for the song she couldn’t get out of her head. It was “On My Way to Work”. {happy, happy me}

It didn’t seem surreal at the time – just thought he was a gullible tourist. But now I think about it, it does freak me out a bit. Maybe i slipped into a time warp or something! Strawberry Fields Forever , eh?
I've written a music themed novel called 'Sixth Beatle'. It's not purely about The Beatles but their songs and, in particular John Lennon, are quite key drivers to the narrative. See http://www.sixthbeatle.com.

One of my friends posted article about The Who stop touring in 2015. I wanted to look up more information and when I typed “the who stop touring” all that came up was “The Beatles stop touring”. So, I decided to look in the news section of Google and “John Lennon Educational Tour Bus” popped up.

Not sure i like the idea of being stalked by anyone. Might be another lawsuit in the offing.

I just found out that my high school typing teacher who told me when I was a senior that she trusted me with her life is a Paul McCartney fan. She put on Facebook that she was watching a 1976 Paul McCartney and Wings concert. Everyone always called her one of the top 3 coolest (and prettiest) teachers at my school. Now I think she is even cooler.
I told her how I just found Paul this year. She was surprised and amazed.

Went to CVS to buy supplies and saw the Rolling Stone with Paul is out. After picking out the perfect non-creased copy (yes, I’m particular about my collectible magazines), I took it up to the register. The cashier immediately stacked one of my other purchases on top of the magazine, and I took it off. I expected her to give me a strange look as I started explaining I was trying to keep it nice, but she quickly said, “Sorry! Sorry!” and carefully placed it in its own bag. It was cute she got it immediately.

I watched “Top 10 Defining Moments of 1960s America” on WatchMojo on youtube. Think a group of us on there are going to rally together because The Beatles were not mentioned on there; however, With Little Help from My Friends was played during the Woodstock clip. Some were saying “They’re English, not American”. True, but they are part of the culture! They should have been mentioned.

If their first Ed Sullivan – when the country stopped to see a British pop group – wasn’t one of the “Top 10 Defining Moments of 1960s America”, I would love to know what was!

- JFK Assassination, thats a given
- The Civil Rights Act of 1964
- The Tet Offensive
- Apollo 11 (Man on The Moon)
- Birth Control
- 1968 Democratic Convention
- Cuban Missile Crisis
- Assassinations of Civil Rights Leaders
- Woodstock
- The Gulf of Tonkin
I hardly hear of #3 or #10! I missed those days in school I guess.

Why have all the numbers in the one to ten list changed to 1?
Good catch. Very observant.

- When I pressed enter and turned off blockquote, it went back to 1.
- When I pressed enter just then, the #2 was automatically generated.

I can kinda understand #3 & #10 as moments if you stick to moments, if not they could both be covered by “Vietnam War” in the way the deaths – I’m assuming – of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jnr, and Robert Kennedy are all rolled into one. And could “Birth Control” really be described as a moment? Surely it was an event that unrolled slowly. No, I think The Beatles on Ed Sullivan should be in that list.
As to numbering, Sky666 has entered it as a list. The gap between each has made it renumber each as if the beginning of a new list when copied. Take out the gap and it numbers as a list.
