No crackers are the ones that build key generators for games, so people can play them for free. Hackers break into computers and websites.

Of course, you can always argue they are all crackers. As in: barmy, off their rockers, one fry short of a Happy Meal, et cetera…

Please pardon my ignorance, @Starr Shine? . What is a cracker? Is that what Evangeline described above?

A cracker is what you put your cheese on.

When you first click on thebeatles.com right now, you are directed to http://www.thebeatles.com/site…..index.html

Then, when you click on “continue to thebeatles.com”, you see:

Maybe the hackers figured out the site needed some maintenance and proceeded to work it out.

Looks like the BB forum is one of the few places on the internet that you can find information about thebeatles.com being hacked.

I found the reddit discussion about the hack. Our discussion is better. Yay, us. apple01

No, Starr Shine? is right. You’re talking about something else. Both of you are technically right, but you’re talking about two different things that go by the same name.

Great article, @Necko . Thanks. apple01

The title of it sounds like a joke begging for a witty punch line.

As a sidenote, what these hacks usually are and why the tardiness in fixing them got me so annoyed, is that they’re advertising. Hire us for your industrial espionage needs, they’re saying, look what clever black hats we are. And Apple gave them a nice long advertising space.

I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Or they hacked in to look for and finally bootleg ‘Carnival Of Light ‘.

But, yeah, I see what you mean. Apple managed to bollocks that up as well.

That’s exactly why I contacted them
