Don’t know if some people thought I was saying that tattoos are cool, maybe I didn’t explain myself correctly. I’ll re-phrase, tattoos look OK on some people. I’m not encouraging anyone to get one, you know.
Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

We had a similar thread going at one time. Someone said they had the words “The movement you need” tattooed on their shoulder.
I would never get a tat myself, but I did think that one was clever. I also like mith‘s suggestion of “SF (INFINITY SYMBOL)” to signify Strawberry Fields Forever .

If I were, it would have to be something small and meaningful. I would never get one just to have one. Like if it came from Beatles music, but had multiple meanings to me. But it’s not a big possibility, now that I think about it. I’ve heard them described as permanent reminders of temporary feelings.
You make your own dream.

Aww…come on. Why the tattoo negativity? I think given the right person and the right tattoo, they can be very cool. I don’t think I’d get one because I’m not sure I have a strong enough statement to have permanently put on my body, but I’ve seen some awesome tattoos on tumblr. I think this one is pretty neat.
If people want to show art or their passions on their bodies, more power to them!

If you google image “Beatles tattoos” and go to page 9 or so there is a picture of me and mine!
One day my (now) girlfriend was browsing beatles tattoos on google image and she came across the picture of me and said to herself “wow look at that hot redhead!” (This is what she told me at least!) So she clicked on the picture and it brought her to this website. From this website she went to the beatlesbible facebook page and I happened to have the picture she saw as my profile picture so she added me. We talked and it turned out we were going to the same paul concert a week from then. October 1st will be our one year anniversary

For me (I can’t speak for anyone else) I have no objection to the existence of tattoos. I guess my objection is to what they are used to mean. I have no actual objection to someone distorting their body, but I find them… ugly (especially the one you find neat – I’m sorry, but I just don’t like it).

kedame, I would categorize the tattoo you posted under “insane Beatles tattoos” it’s pretty cool, but not something I’d get. I like looking at it thoughRedLennon, that’s an awesome story! Happy early anniversary!
Oh, definitely insane. I would never do it, but it is still pretty cool to look at. I think it’s kind of awesome how some people use their bodies as a canvas. They are free enough with their bodies to do something drastic…which is something, as a person who really, really likes control, I could never, ever do. It’s just a different perspective. They are fun to look at, though. Either in an, “Oh…cool!” way or a, “Oh, my god! What were they thinking?” way.
Also, apparently my cousin got a YOLO tattoo. I hope she is only pranking people on facebook because JAY-SUS! That would be a horrible tattoo.

I was telling a friend a coupla weeks ago that the lone tattoo I would LOVE to see on somebody: The simple word TATTOO in block letters! With or without quotation marks, I can’t decide. That would appeal to my personal sense of humour/love of absurdity.
xpost – I had to google YOLO just now, never heard that acronym till now. Was seriously wondering if you misspelled “YOKO”!
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
