It’s so weird on here sometimes. Because of the time difference, LHL is going to work now whereas people here are leaving (apart from night shift people, of course). I love that :)

Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

Like LHL said theres a huge discussion elsewhere. I have one tattoo that I got when I was 22 (I’m 23 now), on my upper left arm that says All You Need Is Love . I love the meaning. I’ve thought about getting another tattoo of a blackbird. One because I love the song and two my brother’s nickname by our mother was Bird, so yea.

See?  I knew there must have been another thread…but the search didn’t find it for me?  Hmmm…

LHL I would LOVE to see!  You can message to me if you don’t wanna post here…I understand that.

Sky090909 – I am thinking of getting one as a memorial for my sister too..but haven’t decided what yet.  I love the idea of the Blackbird for you tho…it would hold such meaning!

(My opinion hasn’t changed: I still think that 93% of tattoos are damned ugly, and I wish I’d never gotten myself one of a green apple completely covering my face! But sky090909 and HeyTrud’s idea of a memorial-tattoo to their sisters sounds like a wonderful gesture.)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Apologies for not seeing these posts.  I tried to search…Honest I did!  Now, I have to think long & hard about a memorial tattoo for my Sis.  I love the idea.

Oh there’s no need to apologize, I thought it was kinda funny! I remember, on one of those previous threads, making a comment on how there was already a tattoos topic or two, so the whole thing’s like a big joke now. Anyways, I’m amused…

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I will mention since we’re on that topic now (also I’m pretty sure Von Bontee was one of the people that personally offended me in one of the other threads, if I remember correctly a-hard-days-night-george-10) that I have a memorial tattoo for my dad on my left arm.  I’m not all trees and Beatles.  a-hard-days-night-john-1

HeyTrud:  Will definately send you that pic tonight !

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

I’m sorry if I offended you, LHL. Yes, tattoos really irritate me, and I never refuse an opportunity to say so. I seem to have some kind of instinctive aversion to visual clutter (hey, remember when I complained about your animated sig? and about people inserting 79 Beatles smileys into their posts? that was the same thing!) – but that’s my problem and not the fault of the bearer. Really, I should’ve learned my lesson by now – just last summer, my sister took it as a mild insult when I told her I didn’t like the colour of her car! (Hey, she asked me my opinion…)

Anyways, sorry to offend. People like their tattoos? = good for them. And if any actual irl people ask me my opinion, that’s what I’ll say. But offering your opinion on an internet messageboard, you can sometimes forget that there are actual PEOPLE there and that can cause problems.

(And getting a memorial tattoo for a loved one is a really moving gesture.)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I understand how you feel, but maybe its best in some situations to bite your tongue if you don’t like something.

Yeah, I guess you’re right. OK, the next time somebody starts another new tattoos thread, I promise I won’t show up just to post anti-tattoo remarks!

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Thank you for that, it’s much appreciated.  I’m not offended anymore, although I was at that time..  but you know women, we never forget!  a-hard-days-night-george-10

I’m definitely opinionated myself, so that I can understand.  🙂

Daily Mail article on a woman’s Beatles back tattoo. 50 hours – that’s a lot of patience.

As a bonus: her dogs.

I have no tattoos but I always think about maybe getting one or two, one being related to my wife and kids and the other Beatles related but I never know what. It’d be something simple like a quote or a symbol, certainly not anyone’s face or anything like that!

The tattoo in this article is good, but I mean…why? That thing is gonna be stuck on her ENTIRE BACK FOREVER. That’s why I don’t get tats…what if you get tired of it or decide you don’t like it one day? Then you’re f****d!

Thats why you should think long and carefully about what you want.

Exactly. If I ever get a tat, it’ll also be somewhere that’s easily hidden when I’m at work, whether in long sleeves or short sleeves. Fair or not, people make instant judgements when they see tats.

You could have two “I’ll tax your” tattoos; one on your feet and one on your “seat”. ahdn_ringo_09

I am not considering getting a tattoo ever, but if I had to get one, as much as I like the Beatles, it’d be the binomial equation, right on top of my right hand, so that I wouldn’t have to memorise it for tests, and my teacher couldn’t do anything about it! blue-meanie

I think it would get a bit tiring trying to explain to non-Beatle people the meaning of it.
