3 really awesome infographics covering every song by the Beatles in their three ‘eras’ and who played what.

Wow, that’s amazing! Bit hard to see what’s what but somebody has clearly taken a lot of time to do this.

Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

Click to enlarge each one.  They’re pretty big, but you can re-size them to fit your screen.  Someone should make desktops out of these things.

Wow… that must have taken a long time.

There were so many more instruments in the second and third than in the first!

And I like how they changed the pictures to match their hair/facial hair (and glasses, in John’s case).

Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

I tested it out to see if they got the finger-tapping on a matchbox by Ringo for “I’m Looking Through You “, but all I can see (and it’s damned hard to follow those subtly colored lines when there’s a gazillion of them all meshed together like some madman threw a whole pot of angel hair pasta in the air) is “organ” attributed to Ringo on that song.  There seemed to be not even “percussion”.

While visually dazzling, on a functional level that graph seems to be suffering from “diminishing returns” the more it has to depict complexity.

I find this funny for some reason.

I guess it’s because:

Why trying to be difficult if you can put it as easy as thatahdn_ringo_09

But yeah, I noticed the organ thing too and I didn’t even know Ringo played it. For some reason I find that very..weird.

While the organ credit for Ringo on I’m Looking Through You  might seem a little odd, the source for it is the sleeve of (UK) Rubber Soul , which credits him with Hammond organ on the track.
