Wogblog entry reporting the upcoming release of three new cd’s (2 double cds, one triple cd) in a ‘Historic Live Recordings’ series on the OxTango Music label (Examiner’s report was previously posted upthread).
You can compare samples of many of the new ‘remastered’ versions of the tracks to the supposed previous ‘best available’ on OxTango Music’s website as well as view the artwork, read notes on the recordings etc.
Interestingly/strangely they chose to include the 30th June 1966 ‘dark suit’ Japan show over the 1st July ‘light suit ‘ performance.

Lewisohn is 3 years older than I am. I’ll take it with me when I go and get it autographed by the subjects.

Now I must Google “ice bucket challenge” to see what it means, if it means something more than what the photos ostensibly show: a celebrity getting dunked with ice water while standing in the crosswalk (surely the “challenge” must involve more than that…)
Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...

By now, @Funny Paper I have to assume you’ve Googled and discovered that the ice bucket challenge is a fundraising phenomenon aimed at raising awareness of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). I heard on the radio yesterday that this challenge has increased the donations by a whopping 700% over last year. Good on you Ron Howard for participating.
Thanks for the post, @parlance
