Paul has had to cancel his entire Japan tour. From Beatlefan:
Beatlefan Japan correspondent Gen Onoshima reports it was announced May 20 that all shows on the Japan leg of the spring Out There! tour have been canceled because of Macca’s continuing illness.
An official statement said:
“Paul McCartney will regrettably have to cancel the remaining Japanese shows. Paul is still not feeling better and this cancelation is unavoidable. He was hoping to be better but the doctors have ordered him complete rest. Paul has been extremely moved by the messages from his fans and is upset to be letting them down.
All possibilities to find a solution to reschedule these shows as soon as possible are being explored.”
And Paul issued a statement to fans, saying:
“I was really looking forward to playing in Japan again after we had such an amazing time here in November. So to cancel these shows as well as the National Stadium shows is hugely disappointing for me as well. I’d like to thank my Japanese fans for their love, messages of support and understanding.
I hope to see you all again soon.
Love,
Paul

It looks like he’ll have to cancel South Korea too.
The postponements for illness are unprecedented in McCartney’s career. Though he has postponed single shows in the past, he has never postponed this many shows at once for illness.

Examiner reports that the South Korea concert on the 28th May will be postponed tomorrow (Wednesday 21st May). I really hope its just a bug thats taking a few days to get over and nothing more serious. Paul is 72 this year after all.
Get well soon Paul – we need you to come to the UK and play for us again.

First an update on Paul
The May 20 edition of “Good Day New York” gave an surprise update on Paul McCartney and his health problems. According to Barbara Pazmino, co-anchor Greg Kelly got the ball rolling when he said it was surreal to sit next to fellow co-anchor Rosanna Scotto, who has been longtime friend of Paul’s wife Nancy Shevell.
When he told Rosanna that it had been on news wires that Paul had to cancel shows because he had a virus, Rosanna said, “Oh wait, let me check how he is.” She got right in touch with Nancy, who said Paul was doing OK and just needed to rest and recover.

Ultimate Classic Rock article on an interview with Mike Myers in GQ in which he mentions that George wrote his last letter to him.
On Nov. 29, 2001, George Harrison died at the age of 58 after a long struggle with cancer. In a new interview, actor Mike Myers reveals that, earlier that day, he received a piece of fan mail from Harrison, which he says was the last letter the former Beatle ever wrote.
As Myers recounts to GQ, he was on the set of ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember,’ shooting a scene where many Hollywood stars are making a film about Powers’ life the day Harrison’s letter unexpectedly arrived. Myers had never before met or corresponded with Harrison, so he was thrilled to discover that one of his idols was a fan. He says that receiving it was “mind-blowing, dude. For the son of a Liverpudlian, a person who worships the Beatles.”
Myers shared some of the contents of the letter, which he says is “prominently displayed” in his’ home. “He says, ‘…sitting here with my Dr. Evil doll…I just wanted to let you know I’ve been looking all over Europe for a mini-you doll.’ And he says, ‘Dr. Evil says frickin,’ but any good Scouser dad will tell you it’s actually ‘friggin’ as in a ‘four of fish and finger pie‘, if you get my drift.’ He said, “Thanks for the movies, so much fun.”
The ‘Austin Powers’ and ‘Wayne’s World’ star once spoke of how much the last scene in ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ — where photographs of the group fall from a helicopter carrying the Beatles — means to him. Harrison referenced it in the letter by saying, “I’m sorry I left you on the helicopter that day, I promise I won’t do it again.”
Myers says he has since learned the backstory of Harrison’s letter, but would prefer to keep it to himself. “I can’t really speak of it,” he continued. “But it is fantastic and sad and awesome, and this is the magic that I’m talking about that I feel very grateful and privileged to be part of it.”
