Ultimate Classic Rocks reports that a BRILLIANT letter from John to Phil Spector, written during the LA Rock ‘N’ Roll sessions, and currently in the hands of Jesse Ed Davis’ family is coming up for auction.
Examiner article about May Pang questioning the veracity of the letter.
Hmmm… If it turns out to be fake, I wonder if the buyer gets hir money back, or if purchases are made at your own risk.

If its stated as genuine and is proven to be fake then you should get your money back, well be presented with the option to.
To save multi-posts.
A couple of articles from Wogblog
The world premier of the restored A Hard Days Night film will be held at the TCL Chinese IMAX, Hollywood, Los Angeles on Saturday April 12th at 6:30 PM.
And a reminder, with video clip, of an auction on the 4th June which comprises of “the most extensive collection of John Lennon ’s original artwork, autograph manuscripts and corrected typescripts ever to come to auction”.

I agree, but I could see them covering themselves with some cleverly-written legalese about researching to the best of their ability and otherwise absolving them of any liability. I would think an auction house could go bankrupt otherwise.

It’s too bad they’re only selling passes as opposed to individual tickets right now.

Anything bought at a reputable place is refunded if shown to be a fake.
Of course, there can be disputes about whether something is or is not a fake. If a place is reputable, though, these issues won’t come up very often and the place won’t go broke.

Examiner round-up of Beatles stories over the last few days including the release of the New Japanese Special Tour Edition which comes with a dvd and that pbs.org is streaming the two-hour documentary ‘LennonNYC‘ for free for a limited time (presumably only for folks in the US as its not available here in Scotland due to right restrictions).

From Paul’s website:
People around the world have been uploading “I Am!” selfies to express pride in identity for today’s 2014 Everyone Matters day, a campaign Paul has supported since it launched in 2012.
Everyone Matters is a global initiative bringing together international celebrities and leading organisations representing people of all ages, sex, race and religion.
Paul joins a number of people who have penned slogans of inclusiveness and tolerance. Other supporters of the humanitarian message include Hugh Jackman, Ellen DeGeneres, George Clooney, Kevin Spacey, the Dalai Lama, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, London Mayor Boris Johnson, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Natalie Portman, Christina Aguilera, Deepak Chopra, Dame Judi Dench, and many more.
This year the campaign invites you to upload “I Am!” photos to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, to encourage people to make the world a place where everyone feels it’s OK to be who they are without fear of judgment or shame. The photo is accompanied by a handwritten statement; perhaps a personality trait, something they like, where they live, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion – anything that says who they are. If you’d like to join in, please remember to use the hashtag #IAM
Check out Paul’s photo below!
For those of you unfamiliar with the term, a ‘scouser’ is slang for someone from Liverpool. Paul is proud of his Northern heritage and has become a much-loved figurehead for the city, to this day keeping his accent!
Join Paul and post your #IAM selfie today…

Messy news about the upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum induction.
The article had been talking about who was and who wasn’t coming to the ceremony.
Not coming: Brian Epstein, the Beatles’ long dead manager. I’m told his family ( he had a family) weren’t even invited. Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr could show up to induct him. Epstein is getting in this year because of the Beatles’ 50th anniversary. But Ringo’s probably miffed because he’s the only Beatle not in the Hall of Fame as a solo act.
I don’t like the way this article say that Epstein is getting in this year because of the 50th anniversary. He is getting in because he was/is really important to rock and roll.

Well, to be honest, if there were any year that his importance would be recognized, it’s this one.
That’s a shame if the family wasn’t invited, though. I hope that’s rectified.

I don’t like any of that. One bit. Except the fact that Brian is being inducted. And Ringo needs to be inducted.
Honestly, I don’t think he does. His stuff outside the Beatles really wasn’t very good.
