A new book is out called ‘Sex and the Beatles’ and Examiner has an interview with the author, Jeff Walker.

Posted in the New Beatles Book thread as well.

They can write just about anything as applied to the Beatles at this point and it will sell. Sheesh!

I mentioned earlier this week that the Las Vegas website had asked me to write a piece on the Beatles…here it is for anyone interested in reading it: http://rnrchemist.blogspot.com…..on-on.html

@DrBeatle I enjoyed your reflections in this article. How different our introductory experiences to the Beatles are! I PM’d you a few more thoughts on the article.

The obligatory apology if parlance has already put this somewhere…

BEATLES INVADE U.S. ALBUM CHARTS – AGAIN

Driven by the all the justified hoopla surrounding the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first U.S. visit and their debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” the group is experiencing a resurgence on Billboard’s Top 200 pop album chart.

The Top 200 is currently graced by no less than 13 Beatles albums. The band’s collection, “1,” topped album charts around the world when initially released in 2000 and sold more than 30 million copies. The collection included every No. 1 single released in the U.S. and U.K. from 1962-1970. It is now back on the charts at No. 20.

Others include “Love” (No. 62), “Abbey Road ” (No. 82), “Sgt. Pepper ’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” (No. 98), “Rubber Soul ” (No. 103), “The White Album ” (No. 119), “1967-1970” (No. 137), “On Air: Live At The BBC , Volume 2” (No. 145), “A Hard Day’s Night” (No. 150), “!962-1966” (No. 154), “Revolver ” (No. 156), “Meet The Beatles” (No. 170) and “Hey Jude ” (No. 186).

This was tacked on at the end of that section:

In other Beatles news, a piece of the backstage backdrop from “The Ed Sullivan Show” — signed by all four Beatles on Feb. 9, 1964 will go on the selling block on April 26 at Heritage Auctions’ Entertainment & Music Auction in New York. It is estimated that the historic collectible will sell for more than $800,000.

^ Yes, it is!

The Beatles Billboard ranking page thingy.

Here’s the page for the Beatles’ albums.

EDIT: While looking at the links in this post, I noticed that the chart numbers for the albums have changed some from the information given in the article I posted. That’s o.k. I’m just glad they are in the list!

EDIT: Hmmm the @ thing isn’t working. Weird

EDIT: Now it, there we go.

It was a while back, some people made a thing where you scored every Beatle  or solo Beatles album from 1963-2013. I complained because they mentioned remix albums but Let It Be .. Naked wasn’t included

Okay, I Googled a thread-specific search (I typed in “Let It Be … Naked” site:beatlesbible.com/forum/yesterday-and-today/beatles-news) and found the post. I don’t know what has happened since, though.

No link for this, however definitely up-to-the-minute. According to the BBC reporter outside the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party, Paul McCartney arrived within the last half-hour.

Congrats to 12 Years a Slave, a brilliant and important BRITISH film!

Why was Paul invited? He hasn’t been involved with any films.

I was going to go and see 12 Years A Slave, but I couldn’t get anyone to go with me – ha! I should learn to go alone because I really wish I’d gone now.

Edit: I’ve just been told they’re still showing it, so maybe I’ll go.

Doesn’t matter. It’s the biggest ticket in town after the Oscars every year, just a see-and-be-seen party. I was looking for pics, and mostly found pics of him from a previous year with HM. But here’s one from last night:

Yeah, I suppose so. Just a chance to show off, in a way.
