Offline An album signed by all four for the doctor who treated George’s strep throat in ’64 is up for sale. I guess we’ll be seeing a lot of these auctions now that we’ve hit the 50 mark.

Paul Named NME’s Songwriter’s Songwriter!
The NME Magazine Awards 2014 with Austin, Texas has announced that Paul will be honoured with a special one-off award, the Songwriter’s Songwriter, and will be there to collect the award in person at the upcoming ceremony.
When NME asked the world’s leading songwriters to nominate the best practitioner of their craft for the one-off Songwriter’s Songwriter award, time and time again they chose Paul.
The awards will take place at the O2 Academy Brixton on February 26th.

Actress Sheridan Smith will be appearing as Cilla Black in a three-part ITV series later in the year. Called Cilla, and written by Jeff Pope, it will explore her emergence in 1960s – the Merseybeat scene, her relationship with The Beatles (particularly Ringo), her relationship with Brian Epstein and signing to EMI, with George Martin as her producer, and the strained relationship between Epstein and Bobby Willis, who she would marry.
Sounds like it will have lots to interest us!

Sounds good, and I like Sheridan Smith. Perhaps ITV will produce something actually worth watching for a change.

Offline $50,000 to meet Paul? Even if i did have the money i wouldn’t spend it on that. A $10k backhander to a promoter or function attendee would get you the same access.

Offline ^^ No, probably me neither if it actually came to it. I’d just rather think that I would spend that so I can complain I can’t because I’ve got no money and feel sorry for myself. It does go to charity, though, so that’s something. I’ve always thought these things are a bit unfair though, as only people who have a lot of disposable income can do it.

The Peruvian news site peru21.pe today confirmed Paul McCartney ‘s upcoming tour of South America in April, stating that his concert in Peru will happen on April 25th at the Estadio Nacional in Lima.
To the delight of his thousands of fans, the former Beatle Paul McCartney will return to our country to be in a single show on April 25 at the Estadio Nacional as part of his South American tour. This project is presented by the Time For Fun (T4F), which is the Brazilian international company that was installed this year in the country, and is confirmed that Paul McCartney will be here on April 25 and will be at the National Stadium with a capacity of about 35 thousand people. Tickets go on sale in a week, ” a reliable source from the company T4F told Perú21.
This tour will also pass through Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile, among other countries where he will promote his recent album, “New”, said the Uruguayan newssite UNoticias.
