Stella McCartney posted this to Instagram. Not quite ‘news’, but I thought it quite cute.

You can watch the Grammys pre-telecast live. Wings Over America won the award for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package about 15 minutes ago.

Don’t you love the relationship the McCartney children have with Paul? Speaking of Paul, I can’t wait to see Ringo and him perform at the Grammys tonight. I’m excited to see what songs they choose to sing and how they are going to pay tribute to John and George.

Cut Me Some Slack just came up for its category. It’s not airing on the west coast until 8pm PST but I’m watching a stream. Putting the result behind a spoiler tag. Edit: It’s the day after, I’m removing the spoiler tags.
Cut Me Some Slack won, so Paul swept 4 for 4, plus the Lifetime Achievement Award. Dave Grohl gave the majority of the speech saying he wouldn’t be here if it were for the Beatles (and one of the other guys said “Or the Stones or Black Sabbath,” since they were also nominated), and Paul spoke a bit. Edit: Here’s a group shot, and here’s The Examiner article with great pics of Paul on stage and in the audience with Nancy.

Ringo just performed. I don’t know if it’s necessary for those who won’t see the show for a bit, but putting this behind a cut to be safe. Edit: It’s the day after, removing the spoiler tags.
He performed “Photograph,” and the display behind him featured photos from his book. You might need a hanky. At the end, Yoko and Sean were shown in the audience.

Paul just performed with his special guest. Another cut. Edit: It’s the day after, removing the spoiler tags.
Paul performed “Queenie Eye ” with Ringo accompanying Abe on drums. Julia Roberts introduced them. In the audience, they showed Yoko dancing, and at the end Nancy making a “nailed it/you rocked” gesture. Afterward, Paul and and Ringo held hands as they bowed.
His voice was in great shape. It’ll be interesting to see if this breathes new life into the single.

CBS.com is streaming it. I imagine it will be on youtube later.
I think they are only streaming from backstage.
Yeah, CBS.com and grammy.com are only showing behind the scenes stuff, not the actual telecast.
(Just saw a commercial for the new Surface tablet. It’s using “New.”)

If you want to wait and see the Grammy performances by Paul and Ringo don’t click.
Edit: No doubt Paul will get the headlines but Ringo’s performance is excellent.
And its just came to mind that John and George wont be at the 50th celebrations in person, damn. Its these events that it hits home they are gone and it sucks.

Paul was cool, but Ringo was excellent indeed. Loved the background.
My favourite bit was Macklemore, Mary Lambert and Madonna’s performance though. So awesome and beautiful. And did I spy Keith Urban crying in the audience?
Daft Punk was cool too. Look at Ringo and Barbara having fun in the audience, and Paul and Nancy too!
Haven’t watched any other performances yet.

I watched the whole show and I agree with everything you said, Linde. I’m still buzzing from that Daft Punk performance. They mashed up my all-time favorite Stevie Wonder song, “Another Star” during that number. And both Paul and Ringo were adorable dancing. I also love how the cameras kept returning to Yoko groovin’.
I also loved Kasey Musgraves’ performance. I’m not into country, but now I want to check out her album.

Of course it was very nice to see both Paul & Ringo perform, but I have to say that I was slightly disappointed for a couple of reasons. First, both of them clearly used this as an opportunity to plug their latest, Paul couldn’t resist erecting those ‘NEW’ logos while Ringo’s still trying to sell more copies of his book. O.K., sure that’s just good business right, but with all the commemorative talk of the 50th Anniversary looming, I was expecting atleast one Beatles’ song with both of them on stage. I’m not surprised though, for any of these Awards shows whether it’s the Oscars or Grammys, it’s usually 99% business anyway. Secondly, I’m growing tired of seeing Ringo always having to play along to another drummer, it’s like he’s “lip-synching” with the drums to me. I was hoping to see Paul & Ringo on stage without any “help from their friends” perhaps in an “unplugged” format playing one or two Beatles’ songs for old times sake, but we got live advertisements for their latest wares instead.
Having said this, Ringo’s performance of ‘Photograph’ was very good, as was Paul’s ‘Queenie Eye , although Paul seemed like he was a little preoccupied, probably keeping an eye out for anyone who may dance too close to his wife while he’s on stage. I’m also getting a little miffed by the constant snubbing of Julian Lennon, I haven’t seen the full show so somebody please tell me that Julian was invited, he wasn’t invited to Paul & Nancy’s wedding which Paul claims was an “oversight”, and it appears that he’s not around for the festivities this time either which I think is unforgiveable….:-)
