I haven’t come across it if he ever has. And I would have loved to have seen the Shatner performance since it brought the house down.

* The Examiner has a fan account from inside the Simply Shakespeare benefit. Paul put on quite a show![snip]

“Paul and Christina Applegate had a love scene where she got out of control and started to kiss him all over his face! He looked at her and said, ‘Careful now. My wife is in the front row!’ Christina unashamed turned to the audience and said ‘YESSSS!!!’ while jumping for joy!”
I don’t know who this Applegate gal is, but she is my hero. Do not let a chance like that get by you!

^^ She’s a comedic actress. Among other things, she was Kelly Bundy in “Married with Children” and the anchorwoman in “Anchorman.”
Ah, so wish I’d had $1500 laying around at home to see this show.

* Via WogBlog, Ringo’s going to be in a film called “Rockland” that’s set for a 2014 release. Here are the official and IMDB sites.
* Also, WogBlog confirms the Japanese bonus tracks for “New.” There’ll be three, with one called “Struggle.” This is a bit different from the unconfirmed tracks originally reported. [x-posted to the Paul’s upcoming album thread]

The Examiner posted that the publisher’s site for Tune In has gone live and that Mark Lewisohn has some appearances in the US and UK booked, including signings. Some US appearances are at Bloomingdales, as a tie-in to their British Invasion collection. [x-posted at the Tune In thread]
BTW, check out that Bloomingdales page. It has a slideshow of some of Henry Grossman’s photos, some of which you may not have seen before.

Love this regarding the term Beatlemania:
The coinage is usually attributed to a Daily Mirror story about the Beatles’ London Palladium concert eight days later but Lothian insists it came from him, via Radio Scotland.
Every time you hear the term Beatlemania from now on just thank us Scots. We gave and continue to give you so much.

from the article:
“the most primal instinct of the fan is to talk to other fans and I think there’s something in that. The idea of community and collectivity is important”
Sounds like us on this forum.

* From Daily Variety: an animated film based on Paul’s children’s book High in the Clouds is set for a 2015 release. [x-posted at Paul’s animation thread]
Paul McCartney ’s children’s book “High in the Clouds” is being developed as an animated movie with former New Line toppers Michael Lynne and Bob Shaye producing through their Unique Features banner with RGH Entertainment.
The film will be released in 3D in 2015. The book — which centers on a squirrel’s quest to find a fabled animal sanctuary called Animalia — is written by McCartney, Geoff Dunbar and Philip Ardagh.
McCartney will compose several original songs for the film. Tony Bancroft, whose credits include “Mulan,” will direct the feature from a screenplay by Josh Klausner (“Shrek Forever After”). Evolution will spearhead the global licensing and merchandising campaign for the film.
* At The Chronicle, via Maccaboard, Paul is recruiting Brad Pitt and Sean Penn for a music video – perhaps the same one that had the casting call for fans?

Is it just me or isn’t that the best timing of releasing a book?

^ I’m sure the release of a certain ”other” Beatles book was taken into consideration. New fans will go out and be lured into buying other related things, such as this.
Is that what you mean, or have I misunderstood what you meant? I’m taking a five min. break from Chemistry studying cos my head was about to explode, so it’s not working very well (*bangs head repeatedly with hands*).
Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

Maybe they are hoping all the folks who ordered the deluxe Tune In get new book withdrawal and buy Ringo’s since they obviously are loaded buying such an expensive book in the first place when in fact we’re all skint.
