my fiancee was in LV last october and brought me some Love merch. I’d love them to go on tour with the LOVE show. They’ve done with other shows too.

Personally I’m relieved.
Does this mark the end of the Beatles Reissue Renaissance era? Since 2017 we’ve seen reissue after reissue. Maybe now time will move on for another 20 years until the 75th.

I dont think so. This years sees the release of Jon Lennons Mind Games LP in multiple issues. Plus One Hand Clapping from Paul. I am fairly sure another Beatles Release is set for late fall/early winter too.

Offline There are plenty of possible releases for Apple. Ringo mentioned recently ‘The First US Visit’ documentary is lined up for reissue so that could be out this year.

The plaque was unveiled by his widow, Olivia Harrison, in a heartfelt ceremony celebrating Harrison’s profound impact as a music icon, songwriter, and humanitarian, and his deep connection to Liverpool.

Offline Today is being marked as the 60th anniversary of the arrival of the Beatles in Melbourne, Australia.
I was eight years old. In hindsight I can see how extraordinary it all was, but at the time it seemed only right that there should be live television coverage of their arrival at the airport (and of Ringo’s separate arrival later in the day after his bout with tonsillitis), and quite normal for thousands of people to be filling the streets outside their hotel (and live TV coverage of that as well).

Offline Paul McCartney attended Taylor Swift’s Eras tour stop in Wembley on June 23rd 2024.
There are wonderful videos of Paul and Mary dancing with fans in the crowd. (Looking great for 83! Although I’m not sure about the white stubble!)
(Edit: just spotted a typo, he is 82 years young)

Offline US albums getting another release – 60 years etc.
There has also been talk of a reissue or reworking of the US First Visit footage which had been made into various documentaries over the decades, tho nothing has been confirmed in the slightest.

Here’s a leak of the box set. It seems to be called 1964 US Albums in Mono, despite The Early Beatles being released in March 1965. Word is that The Beatles’ Story is exclusive to the box set, while the others will also get standalone releases.
The other US albums were Help ! (1965), Rubber Soul (1965), Yesterday And Today (1966), Revolver (1966), and Hey Jude (1970). Presumably there’ll be another box set to follow, though knowing Apple they might equally lose interest and forget all about it.
