I can’t wait to hear Macca’s new album! Just reading the description of the songs makes me tingle with delight.
this lyric reminds me of For No One :
“and all the times you mistreated me through the years does not lessen the sting of my tears”
Macca is still the richest Brit, I thought it was going to be Bono since he bought some shares from Facebook.

Date for UK/Irish biblers:
BBC4 next Friday (19th April) “George Harrison : Living in the Material World” documentary is on (both parts) starting from 9pm-12:30am. Then at 1:55am “…Sings the Beatles” is on.
Now for all Irish biblers/people visiting Ireland
Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons in partnership with Julien’s Auctions has announced an exclusive exhibition featuring a very rare Beatles guitar played by both John Lennon and George Harrison . The rare VOX guitar played by both legendary artists is what true rock n’ roll is made of. The striking custom guitar built by Mike Bennett and Dickey Denney was gifted to ‘Magic Alex’ Mardas by John Lennon in 1967. Harrison played the guitar while practicing ‘I Am The Walrus ‘ during The Magical Mystery Tour and by Lennon while recording a video session for ‘Hello, Goodbye ‘ but it is not seen in the final version of the video that was released. Lennon gifted the guitar to ‘Magic Alex’ Mardas.
It will be shown from April 16 through Wednesday May 8, 2013

Article on Mark Ronson includes this bit about Paul’s next album:And then he played me ‘Climax’ by Usher, and he was like, ‘I love where all the sonics sit in this.’
I went to YouTube to hear this, and it’s funny how many comments say “Paul McCartney sent me here.” I’m not sure what he means by “where all the sonics sit in this,” but I like the song.

* Philip Norman (Shout!, John Lennon : The Life) has been signed to write a bio on Paul. Here are links to an article and a blog on this news.
Funny, I was just thinking today it’d be nice to have a definitive bio on the years Many Years from Now doesn’t cover, but this isn’t what I had in mind…

Olivia paid tribute to Badfinger’s Pete Ham for Saturday’s blue plaque ceremony:
“I have had the pleasure of meeting Pete’s family and, although I did not know Pete himself, his lyrics and recordings embody a gentle spirit and tender heart.
“Congratulations and love on this occasion.”
Also an Independent article with little more background on the band that mentions the ceremony.
