Whoops, sorry RN. I googled and thought I was talking bollocks and hoped to delete it before it was seen.
General gist was: Ringo, radio interview, 26th September, listening party Abbey Road
The Daily Mail covers the 50th Anniversary Party at Abbey Road on 26 September. Among those in attendance were…
Paul and Nancy…
Ringo and Barbara…
Among others attending were Olivia Harrison, Mary McCartney, Nile Rogers, Taron Egerton, Martin Freeman, Jamie Oliver, Noel Fielding, Lliana Bird, Dexter Fletcher, and Jo Whiley. Article’s mainly pictures, some paragraphs in between (and some coverage of the celebration at the Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood) to give the impression there was some journalism involved…

Unknown footage of a playful interview with the group in 1965 in Cardiff has been discovered in Wales during a house clearance, in a bread bin, the BBC report, footage of them with the Maharishi being interviewed in 1967 has also been discovered by Omega Auctions, along with a sound recording of John doing an acoustic version of God .
On the 1965 footage, the BBC comment:
…the band are seen joking with a journalist attempting to interview them, with John Lennon saying Paul McCartney has five children in Swansea and Ringo Starr joking their next film would be a Western.
They also break into a rendition of There’s No Business Like Show Business, and pull funny faces throughout the interview.
Paul Fairweather, from Omega Auctions, says:
All four Beatles are in fine form throughout both of the Cardiff films, laughing and joking, while the interviewer tries to remain serious.
The sound and image quality is fantastic. I expect these have never been seen since 1965.

To coincide with the anniversary of Abbey Road last week, Spotify released it’s Beatles stats for 2019 so far.
So, up to roughly the end of September, Beatles songs have been streamed roughly 1.7 billion times.
Of those streams, about 30% of them are made by those aged 18-24.
Of those 110 million people who subscribe, 20.6 million monthly users listen to The Beatles.
When including all those who use Spotify (those who subscribe and those who use the free version), roughly 220 million monthly users, around 10% listen to The Beatles.
Not bad for a band who split up nearly 50 years ago. It also puts paid to the fiction that The Beatles don’t really appeal to a younger audience.
Okay, I know the amount of youngsters on here also prove that, but you all might just be weird exceptions. Nope, you may be weird, but you’re not exceptions.

This week’s UK Official Album Chart is out, and Abbey Road is straight in at #1!!!!
In the process it broke a chart record with the longest gap between it first topping the chart and its latest topping of the chart, 49 years and 252 days,
The previous record was 49 years and 125 days…
…and was set in 2017 when Pepper returned to the top of the chart on its 50th.
Paul has said:
It’s hard to believe that Abbey Road still holds up after all these years. But then again it’s a bloody cool album.
And if anyone is wondering why it says AR has only spent 14 weeks on the chart, for some reason it’s just showing the weeks since first CD issue in 1987.

Having had the chance to look through yesterday’s UK’s Official Top 100 Album Chart which had Abbey Road re-entering the chart at #1, up 10 from #38 to #28 is the 1 compilation, and there are three more re-entries – Sgt. Pepper at #69, 1967-1970 (Blue Album ) at #72, and The Beatles (White Album ) at #94.

This makes me really happy. The younger generation are going to carry on the legacy. Each generation has had the same reaction to the Fabs.

And you know the figure for those under 24 streaming the Beatles has to be higher because you don’t suddenly start listening to the Beatles at 18. Well, okay, some might do but not everybody that falls into the 18-24 age group cited.

Also it’s a very busy road, don’t know how long it would take to unscrew a manhole cover but you’d definitely have a good few drivers catch you.Although, if you were wearing a fluorescent jacket, they’d think you were a workman.
So you’ve cased the crime scene target area thing then?

So, Abbey Road and the US charts.
#3 on the Billboard chart for 12 October chart, published today, jumping from #71, and also #3 on the Rolling Stone chart.
The album moved over 81,300 total units the week of September 27th to October 3rd. Unsurprisingly, sales accounted for the majority of the album’s units, with 61,100 album sales in its first week compared to 6.1 million on-demand audio streams. (By comparison, the Number One album, DaBaby’s Kirk, sold just 7,400 albums, but saw 172.8 million streams in its first week.)

The Dairy Cottage, 120a Allerton Road, Woolton is to be opened as an AirBnB, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Former home of George Toogood Smith, Uncle George, husband of Mimi. The back of Mendips on Menlove Avenue could be seen from the garden. Mimi used to tell George that was the type of house she wanted to live in when she got married. He fulfilled her wish but kept 120a.
Julia lived there for a period with John (and Freddie when he was home) in 1942-43, after which John moved in with Mimi and George at Mendips for most of the time. 120a was next occupied by John’s Aunt Harrie. He spent much time there over the years, stashing many of his paintings, drawings, writings and books in the cupboard under the stairs after Mimi had destroyed some at Mendips.
The new owner, an American named Kelley Kupfer, who came across it while pursuing her bucket list after surviving a brain tumour. At first she thought it would need just a lick a paint, but as she thought more, she aimed at doing something that reflected the history of the house, with help from members of the Lennon family, including family photos on the walls.
And it even has a soundproofed rehearsal room fully equipped with Beatley instruments:
