Why? We’re going by release date and ‘Let It Be ’ was May 1970 compared to October ‘69 for ‘Abbey Road ’. I presume music will be released along with the new ‘LIB ’ film (hopefully one of the original unreleased albums features as well).

Myself, I think they get to 2021, first year when there’s no obvious anniversary tie-in product since the Pepper 50th, and their change of hearts on deluxe editions, and get all, “How about a deluxe MMT, and then work our way back through Revolver and RS, etc… and a special set for non-album/orphan tracks in 2027…”

I would expect it to be released that week, @AppleScruffJunior. Original release date was 26 September, which is a Thursday this year, standard release day for things now is a Friday, which would be 27 September. A listening party at AR the day before deluxe re-release?
EDIT: This probably no longer makes sense as posts above have been altered…

Whoops, sorry RN. I googled and thought I was talking bollocks and hoped to delete it before it was seen.
General gist was: Ringo, radio interview, 26th September, listening party Abbey Road , thought release late October/early November for Christmas, field trip to Abbey Road ?

I deleted it before reading the rest of the thread, I’m confused now — do I get a prize, forgiveness, or naughty steps time?

On the last night of his Freshen Up tour, last night (13 July) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Paul was joined by former-Eagle Joe Walsh for The End . Oh, and Joe’s brother-in-law was allowed to drum on Sgt. Pepper and Helter Skelter just before that…

The Daily Mail reports that the only known colour images of the Beatles performing on their 1966 US tour are being auctioned online with copyright by Heritage Auctions, with the auction ending on Saturday. They are expected to sell for around $50,000 (£40,000UK).
The 15 colour slides were taken by Mark Richman at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on 21 August 1966 as they played in the pouring rain under a makeshift roof.
It was a pivotal performance for the group as Paul recalled for Anthology…
It rained quite heavily, and they put bits of corrugated iron over the stage, so it felt like the worst little gig we’d ever played at even before we’d started as a band. We were having to worry about the rain getting in the amps and this took us right back to the Cavern days – it was worse than those early days. And I don’t even think the house was full.
After the gig I remember us getting in a big, empty steel-lined wagon, like a removal van. There was no furniture in there – nothing. We were sliding around trying to hold on to something, and at that moment everyone said, ‘Oh, this bloody touring lark – I’ve had it up to here, man.’
I finally agreed. I’d been trying to say, ‘Ah, touring’s good and it keeps us sharp. We need touring, and musicians need to play. Keep music live.’ I had held on that attitude when there were doubts, but finally I agreed with them.

Theatre producer Bill Kenwright has announced that a stage musical version of the classic 1946 Frank Capra film It’s a Wonderful Life is in the pipeline for “late 2020”, and that Paul – who said the film was “a universal story we can all relate to” – is involved.
It’s being written by Lee Hall – who wrote Billy Elliott the Musical and the recent Elton John film Rocketman (among other things) – and collaborating with Paul on the music and lyrics. Hall has said:
It’s a Wonderful Life is my favourite film. It has absolutely everything – comedy, pathos and a rare humanity which has touched generation after generation. To give it a life on the stage is an immense privilege in itself, but to do with Paul McCartney is off the scale. Paul’s wit, emotional honesty and melodic brilliance brings a whole new depth and breadth to the classic tale. I feel as if an angel must be looking after me.
Kenwright, born and raised in Liverpool, approached Paul three years ago after acquiring the rights, as Paul explained:
Like many of these things, this all started with an email. Bill had asked if it was something I might be up for. Writing a musical is not something that had ever really appealed to me, but Bill and I met up with Lee Hall and had a chat and I found myself thinking this could be interesting and fun.
In other news, the Liverpool Echo reports that a statue of John by artist Laura Lian (which was recently shown at the Glastonbury Festival) called “John Lennon Peace Statue” will be displayed at St. George’s Hall in Liverpool from 1 August to the end of September.
More on the St. George’s Hall website.
Also, I discovered via Liverpool Echo story on the statue that their Beatles City podcast, presented by Laura Davis (daughter of the Quarrymen’s Rod Davis) and Ellen Kirwin, is returning for a second series. The first episode of which talks to Richard Curtis, Danny Boyle and Himesh Patel about Yesterday , while other episodes will include them speaking to the man who was a Beatle for just two weeks, taking a tour of John Lennon ‘s and Paul McCartney ‘s childhood homes and finding out about the Black musicians who have become a mostly forgotten part of the Merseybeat scene.
With the previous post, that should be enough to keep you going…
Woah! And now breath out, Nasty!
