"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

It’s an all-McCartney Clan news day.
* Stella was honored with an OBE. Also honored was George Martin’s wife, Lady Judy Gordon Martin. Articles and pics here, here and here.
* Paul has added Fenway Park to his tour.
* James will be doing a warm-up date ahead of his US tour in London.

Paul’s Facebook page posted this today, labelled under “Recent Articles” (it’s hardly an article):http://thoughtcatalog.com/2013…..mccartney/
It could have maybe been funny, but it bothers me when people write this s**t without knowing simple facts… he’s a vegetarian, not a vegan. Big difference.
This kind of thing really gets me wound up, too. It’s like they’re taking the piss out of him, and what kind of fan does that?

This confuses me:

It’s saying there that Wikipedia users are surprised that nobody has made a page for John Lennon … I am confused, what is this then?

I have been to the page lots… am I missing something here?

* I won’t assume people are reading the cartoon thread, so reposting here… sad news, as Jack Stokes, the director of the Beatles cartoons and animation director of “Yellow Submarine ” has passed away at 92.
* Paul and Ron Wood were special guests at James’ London concert last night.
* “Rockshow” will be screening worldwide starting May 15.

^^ I imagine Paul got some surgical assistance with that mane.
Anyway, I just bought my ticket to see James and I’m looking forward to it.

Hi guys,
I posted this in the ‘All Together Now ‘ section earlier but it might be more relevant here.
I would just like to let you know about some really great Beatles events coming up in the next week in the U.K.
To start of Hastings Beatles Weekend The Starrlite Beatles will be recreating a rooftop concert, it will be taking place on Saturday 6th April at 13:00 so if you can make it please come along.
The next day on Sunday 7th an all day event (Hastings Beatles Day) will be taking place. This will be in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support so any money raised will be for a good cause.
If anybody can come along you will be more than welcome

To add to the sad news, producer Phil Ramone, who worked with Paul, Ringo, and Julian Lennon, has passed on at the age of 79.
