I did see that, however they refuse to acknowledge the album by name, it’d be like if Queen made a watch listing all of their album but chose to use a picture of the robot instead of writing News Of The World despite every other album being acknowledged by name.

What a terrible idea. First of all, if it weren’t for the logo and a few other minor details, it would be an average watch. Second of all, while the white watch acknowledges Magical Mystery Tour as an album, it doesn’t do so for Help ! despite MMT being an EP and the latter being a full length album. Also, the watch costs over $1,200 despite not having any gold on it. Lastly, they add The Beatles in the stupidest way. Imagine asking your Beatles loving friend what time it is only for him to say A Hard Day’s Night Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band instead of 3:35. I’ll pass.
If you take much of the decoration of anything you are left with something basic aside from the ingredients. Raymond Weil is a very respected created of luxury Swiss watches so it’s clearly not average from the offset.
‘Help !’ is acknowledged thru the silhouettes from the album cover, any Beatles fan would get the reference.
What has gold or lack of got to do with anything when going by value?
I have no idea what you are meaning by the time point in your last sentence; the layout is the 13 core albums, no one would be confused and not get it was 3:35am and think it was whatever you said.
I criticised the white face watch back when it was announced (13 albums squeezed into where it’s normally 12 segments) but then bought one as I lost the Beatles watch I had for 20 years and it is really nice and very difficult to mark, scratch etc. Incredibly expensive yes but I’m a Beatles buying sap and whilst I could have bough a £30 watch I would have not cared if lost.

I do wish the watch weren’t so nice. I would buy it if it were a cheap novelty item, but I don’t like spending my money on luxury wrist wear

Well I think the reason why the first watch has so little graphicwise is because it’s supposed to look like a record. If you look you can see the grooves and the track bands.
Second of all, while the white watch acknowledges Magical Mystery Tour as an album, it doesn’t do so for Help ! despite MMT being an EP and the latter being a full length album.
Well I think MMT was added because they wanted to have the Help ! figures, and that made an extra space that they needed to fill with something. It does tickle my OCD a bit, but it’s not horrid.
As for Help ! being spelled out in the figures, it’s a bit different than the robot replacing NOTW. The Beatles are supposed to “supposed to” be spelling out Help ! in the Semaphore Flag Signalling System, so I do think that that is pretty clever.
I’ll pass.
As for the album titles(save for the Help ! figures), they are in between the tick marks that represent the numbers, so they’re not associated to the numbers, but rather they’re decoration in the spaces between the tick marks.
As for my opinion on the watches, when I get $2000 dollars that I can burn you best believe the fire wood is going to be the purchase of these two wrist clocks. One for each wrist.

Thanks for that, i didn’t notice that until now.
P2:
At least i’m not the only one who’s getting their OCD tickled by that and i think it would’ve made much more sense just to ignore Magical Mystery Tour myself because it’s not an album but an EP.
P3:
Why have 2 watches, are you going to be setting each for a different time zone.

Apple Corps and SubaFilms have been declared the legal owners of the Shea concert footage after a claim from Sid Berstein Presents, LLC is dismissed. The end legal opinion is here for those interested.
The claim is thought to be one reason why Shea wasn’t released in some way last year alongside ‘Eight Days A Week ‘.

You found what I was looking for, @meanmistermustard, the legal judgement. I knew it had to be out there somewhere, but was drawing blanks.
The case always looked incredibly weak to me, since the contracts specifically excluded Bernstein from any rights to the filming of the concert, and that Sid himself never made any claim to such rights.
It should be noted that Sid Bernstein Presents, LLC lawyers are saying they see grounds for appeal and are considering it.

On the 54th anniversary of The Beatles final performance at The Cavern, The Beatles Story in Liverpool has announced the addition, on a three year loan, of a rare ticket to that last, 292nd, show to their main exhibition.

Interesting that someone wrote in the year on the card (ie that it wasn’t there originally). Interesting that some information only becomes important years later.

Cool. I now don’t have to go all the way to Liverpool to see it.

Ringo talks about his new album and he is asked about future deluxe editions in an interview with Rolling Stone. He would like a White Album and Abbey Road deluxe edition but he is uncertain about Rubber Soul and Revolver .

I saw that article shared on Facebook a few hours ago. When I first saw it, I thought it was a dumb question to ask. Why would the interviewer even ask Ringo that? It’s unlikely that Ringo’s the one who decides to do these reissues.

Ringo can certainly offer suggestions to Apple and even discuss future projects with Paul, Olivia and Yoko, they each hold the ultimate veto. I would be amazed if anyone else involved would say no to Beatles releases as they generate so much finance.

That is cool – thanks for posting it. I get a kick out of it saying (Off NORTH JOHN STREET) after the club’s address. It could have just said (LOOK FOR THE RIDICULOUSLY LONG QUEUE).
Is anyone else curious to know if someone has that phone number today? Jenny‘s Liverpudlian cousin perhaps?
