Found this earlier today. I think John would approve, tho seeing that picture is still hard and too frank, for me.

I don’t know whether this has already been mentioned, but in case not. On BBC Radio 2 in the UK next Thursday, at 10pm, Johnnie Walker’s Long-Players (which explores two major albums in each episode) is about Abbey Road and George’s All Things Must Pass .

The picture is heartbreaking. It brings home one senseless loss of life among the many that were ended with a legally held weapon. I’ve got into trouble here before for saying this, but I do not understand a country that says the answer to its gun violence is more guns. The numbers speak for themselves. So many lives ended before their time.

If John and Yoko had had an armed bodyguard following a few paces behind, it is likely that Chapman would be the one in the ground, and John still alive, having produced another 30 years of great music, art and literature.

I have a whole new level of respect for you. Let’s hope you are your country’s future.

Isnt that picture of John’s glasses the same one that Yoko released back in the 80’s, i want to say Seasons of Glass but might be wrong?
It is the same picture. I believe the album, her first after John’s death (1982, I think), was called Season of Glass.

from Paul’s Facebook:
PaulMcCartney.com has had an exclusive look at next month’s Q Magazine featuring Paul and The Beatles on the cover.
The magazine celebrates the release of ‘Please, Please Me’ and talks with Paul about the making of the iconic album. During the interview Paul recalls the 9 hour 45 minute recording session and how the band were not allowed in the control room at Abbey Road ‘s Studio 2.
Paul also discusses getting into experimental music revealing how ‘Yesterday ‘ nearly ended up with an electronic backing!
The new issue of Q Magazine is published this April.
