Oh yeah, I’ve totally got $12000 to burn on another Martin guitar, when I’ve already got one and what I really need is a nice electric… or two.
Bad Silly Girl. Stop it, now.

Sad news from the Beatles Examiner that @Happy Nat, a member of this forum, though only an occasional poster, is retiring his The Beatles Rarity blog, at least for the time being.
Thanks for all the great rare recordings you’ve put up over the years, Happy Nat, as well as all your other features.
They will be missed.
Not that he’s taking the site down, so the good and rare music he’s provided over the years will remain for us all to rifle through.
Best of luck with whatever’s next for you Happy Nat.

No idea where to put this so here will it go.
From an article on the BBC
Virtuoso guitarist Milos Karadaglic argues The Beatles are “as important as Bach” and should be considered part of the core classical music catalogue.
Milos Karadaglic is the world’s most popular classical guitarist, renowned for his fluent and expressive playing….
Interestingly, the guitarist was not aware of The Beatles during his childhood in Montenegro. His first exposure to the band’s work came when a teacher at the Royal Academy suggested that he learn Yesterday , in an arrangement by the Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu.
“After I studied the piece, I fell in love with it completely,” he says.
In fact, he now argues that The Beatles should have a place in the classical catalogue.
“I don’t see a difference between those songs and Schubert. The Beatles left such a big mark on how we hear music today, so it feels equally natural to play the Beatles as it does to play Bach.”

I definitely agree with the Schubert part; while listening to his and some of Schumann’s songs recently I could see no difference between them and a lot of pop music nowadays. I felt the same while listening to some classical guitar. Perhaps in this part of the repertoire we just need to see what stands the test of time before it can be labelled classical?
[EDIT] and maybe in the “Classical Musings” thread?

First seen in Vancouver, Canada last year, The Magical Mystery Tour : A Beatles Memorabilia Exhibition, which got some very good reviews, is scheduled for the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan from 30 April to 18 September. For anyone interested, it should be underlined that it includes the last album John autographed. There is some discomfort at that.

Will it be called Newer?
There were reports on the web that it was being produced by the same person who works with Adele – and it might take a while to complete – so it would be called 75

In response to The Sun’s report (remember this is ‘The Sun’, not the most reliable, accurate or trustworthy source)
Paul McCartney representatives issued a firm “no comment” to Beatles Examiner today in response to a British newspaper report that the Beatle is working on a new album with celebrated record producer Greg Kurstin.
