Finally got a chance to watch Kids React. That was the most adorable thing ever. And they clearly made a new fan out of that little girl who asked if John was still alive.

Ringo Starr to be star of his own exhibit at L.A.’s Grammy Museum this summer
The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles will debut a new exhibit devoted to Ringo Starr, “Ringo: Peace & Love,” to open June 12, the museum announced today. It said the exhibit, which will run through November and then go on tour to selected cities, will offer visitors “an unprecedented in-depth look at all aspects of Starr’s musical and creative life as a musician, artist, actor, and as the man the world knows and loves simply as ‘Ringo,” according to the official description. The exhibit will also showcase his “peace and love” trademark.
Topps returns to Beatles and baseball on Facebook and new card set
Baseball Think Factory reports the set also includes several specially marked Beatles buybacks inserts. Think Factory says these are for original Beatles cards from Topps’ 1964 run with a foil stamp added to distinguish them from the 2013 set.

Article from Rolling Stone on the Ringo thing:
Ringo Starr Exhibit to Open at Grammy Museum
Show will include never-seen photos, film and memorabilia
The museum’s third exhibit to focus on the life and career of a Beatle (John Lennon and George Harrison were the other two), “Ringo: Peace and Love” is being touted as both “the first major exhibition to explore the life of Ringo Starr ,” as well as the first in the U.S. to focus specifically on a rock drummer. The exhibit will run through November, while a tour through select cities will follow with dates to be announced later.
The exhibit will include a slew of never-before-seen photos, correspondence and film footage, along with memorabilia from throughout his career, including his costume from the cover of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
The exhibit will also include an interactive feature that will allow visitors to pick up a few drumming tips from Starr himself.

Thanks for that. I can’t wait to see this.
Kelly was briefly fired by Lennon after she arrived late before a show because she had been having drinks with an opening band. The secretary convinced Lennon to get down on his knees and beg her to stay.
And I really can’t wait to hear how she pulled that off.
Girls would send her four sticks of gum which she would hand out to the band members, then she would wrap the chewed gum in paper and mail it back to the fans.
It was certainly a different time.

I saw that on Julian’s FB this morning…so sad. They’d been together 30 years (according to his post)

Sad news for Cynthia and Julian. Her husband, Noel Charles, has passed away.parlance
Oh, that’s so sad.
The weird thing is, the other day I was thinking about Cynthia and I thought to myself how glad I was that she’s happy now and married to a man who adores her. And today I find this.
I feel really sad. My heart goes out to both of them, but particulary to Cyn.
Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

S**t. I wanted to listen to the Clapton/Paul thing, but they’ve taken down the preview. Ah well, must be available soon.
And the Sean/Yoko thing is pretty funny. I’ve heard Sean sing once before, but his voice is kind of..weird. And I nearly fell out of my bed when Yoko suddenly popped up and started shouting ”Don’t frack me!”

Paul contributed to a movie score:
Back in 2007, Michel Gondry directed the video for Paul McCartney ’s “Dance Tonight,” and it appears that the two have now collaborated again with the McCartney having reportedly done some work as a guest musician on the score for the director’s upcoming “Mood Indigo.”
According to French site RTL, McCartney came in and played bass on at least two instrumental tracks for the film, and if that’s the case then we imagine the label will have a much easier time moving copies of the soundtrack than they would have before. The score itself is by Gondry’s former Oui Oui bandmate, Étienne Charry, and it will also feature a song by popular French chanteuse France Gall
