The voice I heard in my head while reading the letter was John’s (ie I heard it like he was reading it aloud to me). Do you ever “hear” one of their voices when reading something like this? Not here.
Hearing voices??? 🙂
Just Beatley ones, thankfully.

The best part for me was being told that Cilla, in a photo with nine men, was the one wearing the pink dress. I’d never have spotted her otherwise.
It was a nice interiew – thanks for posting it @Ron Nasty .

I did have a hard time spotting her, so I found the caption helpful.

Myself, what I thought was good about the interview, is the interviewer (in print interviews) usually says what an awkward barsteward he can be to interview, with a long list of questions that can’t be asked. She didn’t choose to make those points (though probably given the same instructions). Maybe, in the wake of Cilla’s death (who he knew longer than he knew any of The Beatles), he was in a mood to reflect.
Though, obviously, he’s speaking truth on cow and goat molecules. Cows are bigger than (most) goats, so has bigger molecules. And if a cow has bigger molecules than a goat, it makes sense that the molecules in cows milk must be bigger than in goats milk. Isn’t that how it works?

Seems there may be a new Beatles animated movie on the way. Paul King, director of 2014’s Paddington, is in talks to direct a movie called Meet The Beatles.
…not much is known about the movie other than it will be chasing a song considered the “one that got away,” it will feature songs that span the Beatles career.

Hopefully it’s not the missing tapes from “Broad Street” again 🙂

The Mirror reports that Labour’s Shadow Culture Secretary, Michael Dugher, has called for Ringo to be Knighted.
The Beatles changed the course of popular music forever and they continue to bring massive benefits to the UK in terms of trade and tourism.
Ringo’s unique drumming was intrinsic to the music of the Beatles – just listen to A Day In The Life or Strawberry Fields Forever – and his charisma and personal charm was an intrinsic part of their act as entertainers.
Ringo is a legend and has made a massive contribution to our country. It’s been over 50 years since he got his MBE.
At the age of 75, it’s time for Ringo to get a knighthood for services to music. No other country in the world would take so long to properly honour one of its music legends.

Scientists have worked out the 20 most iconic songs of all time with John at number 2 with ‘Imagine ‘ and The Beatles at #6 with ‘Hey Jude ‘.
Far more interesting to me is that Elvis is at number 20 with ‘Hotel California’, only 7 places behind The Eagles with their ‘Hotel California’.
Evidently those scientists are not good typists/proofreaders.

No insult intended to Nirvana fans; but I reckon that they don’t span generational lines as much as many of the other artists on the list, and I have never heard of that Elvis song 🙂

The Beatles contract with Brian Epstein has sold for £365,000/$550,000.
It has gone up in value. From the article: “It last went under the hammer in 2008 at an auction in London when it went for £240,000.”

The Liverpool Echo reports that among the lots at Adam Partridge Auctioneers sale in Liverpool on 4 November will be Johnnie Hamp’s reel-to-reel tape of the audio of 22 August 1962 Cavern performance of Some Other Guy (Apple bought a copy of the tape in 1993 for £16,500), and a miniature Bible once owned by (and signed by) the real Eleanor Rigby . It’s one of only two known examples of her signing her name.
