From Rolling Stone –
“In Roy Kafri’s innovative music video for “Mayokero,” we discover what your album covers do when nobody’s looking: They form an all-star beatboxing posse. The video seamlessly animates classic covers like the Beatles’ Revolver , David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane and Bob Dylan’s Nashville Skyline and Highway 61 Revisited to give the appearance that they’re collectively singing the Kafri track (via A.V. Club).”

Number 01 of ‘The Beatles’ (aka ‘The White Album ‘) is going into auction reports Wogblog writing
“But it’s not No. 00000000001, it’s actually No. 01!
It’s a 1st pressing of The Beatles (White Album ) UK 1968 mono album, complete with poster and photos, and the sleeve is marked No. 01, a rare number variant.
When purchased by the current owner, the previous owner said that this album had been given to him by an Apple executive who had worked for The Beatles.
This apparently mis-pressed sleeve was subsequently gifted to him by one of the group.
It is believed that The Beatles did not like the first sleeve enumeration system as they wanted more digits to allow all covers to be numbered and not just a batch with double figures up to 10, which Apple had delivered to their offices in Saville Row for the group.
Subsequently it is believed that the printers added more 000s to accommodate the Beatles request and sent another batch to Apple, leaving the first run as very rare anomalies. “
Additional details and a picture of the album cover is at the link.
Wogblog also reports that Olivia Harrison appeared on the BBC Radio 2 show ‘Jools Holland‘ last Monday (20th October 2014) for an interview and also aired 60 seconds of a previously unheard demo of George’s, ‘Fear Of Flying ‘. You can hear the full show, or just skip to the demo’, on the BBC iPlayer where its available for four weeks but availability depends on where you are in the world.

From the Grammy Museum:
Sound Man: Glyn Johns
Monday, November 17, 2014; 7:30 p.m.Glyn Johns was just sixteen-years-old at the dawn of rock and roll. His big break as a producer came on the Steve Miller Band’s debut album Children of the Future. He went on to engineer and produce such iconic albums as Abbey Road with The Beatles, Led Zepplin’s and the Eagles’ debuts, Who’s Next by The Who, and many others. In his memoir, “Sound Man,” set to be released on November 13, 2014, Johns take the reader on a tour of his world during the heady years of the sixties. He was there during some of the most iconic moments in rock history including the Stones’ first European tour, Jimi Hendrix’s appearance at Albert Hall in London, and The Beatles’ performance on the roof of their Savile Road studio. Over the last two decades, Johns’ career has shown no signs of slowing down. He has worked with Crosby, Stills and Nash, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Band of Horses, and most recently, Ryan Adams. Please join us in welcoming Glyn Johns to the Clive Davis Theater for a discussion about his book and prolific career with Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Scott Goldman.
