Ticket To Ride: Abbey Road station notice Beatles tribute goes viralTo help ease the confusion, TfL have created a light-hearted notice featuring some of The Beatles’ most famous song titles.
The sign they came up with is quite good. Thanks for sharing.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

It’s good, but you just know the average Beatlebibler could’ve done it even better!
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

James McCartney to release album, go on tour
The Beatles icon’s son has some big shoes to fill.
Yes, he’s related to THAT McCartney.
Fledgling singer James McCartney gets ready to fly the coop with his debut album, aptly called Me, on May 21. To spread the word, the artist, who looks eerily like his father, will go on a 47-stop, 27-state tour starting on April 6.
“For my first album I wanted to make a record that would be intimate, deeply personal, and honest,” says McCartney in a press release. “An album that would say, ‘This is who I am…both musically and personally. This is me.'”
And he literally means “me.” His tour will be acoustic, and he’ll accompany himself on guitar and piano. To get an idea what Paul Jr.’s music is like, he’s put out two EPs, Available Light and Close at Hand.

Speaking of Beatle kids… a bunch of photos comparing George and Dhani accompanies this article:
George Harrison ‘s lookalike son Dhani shows off his new wife…(who is the image of his Beatle father’s first missus Pattie Boyd)
It’s hard not to do a double take when catching a glimpse of Dhani Harrison.
At 34, the handsome musician is the image of his late father – and former Beatle – George; right down to his profound deep brown eyes, gentle smile and unassuming gait.
But when he stepped out in L.A on Wednesday night, Dhani and new wife Sola were the image of his father and first wife Pattie Boyd in the ’60s.
George’s boy made a rare public appearance at the premiere of Beautiful Creatures held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood with his new wife, Sola, as he crafted the film’s soundtrack with collective, thenewno2.

”Who looks eerily like his father” Ahum. He certainly didn’t inherit his dad’s hair or figure. Poor kid.
But their faces are so similar. Wait , you’re talking about James, right?
From the article about Dhani and Sola:
Paul’s fashion designer, Stella, even designed the bride’s dress.
Paul’s fashion designer, yes… but perhaps it should be mentioned that she happens to be his daughter, as well?
Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

Paul won the Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “Kisses On The Bottom ” yesterday, his first for a solo album. Congrats to Paul. I’ll be playing my favorite tracks “My Valentine and “Inch Worm” in his honor.
As an aside, Anoushka Shankhar lost Best World Music Album award to her father, Ravi, and accepted the award on his behalf.

Yeah I was talking about James. True that, their faces are similar. He’s like a ginger and slightly chubbier Paul. Without the perfect eyebrows.
Yeah I noticed that too! Thought it was a bit odd.
N’aww I couldn’t listen to the radio thingie as I had to clean the house (which was a waste of time, as I ”did it wrong’' I will watch the documentary though.

A few things:
Thenewno2 Streaming New Song Online
(Classic Rock) Thenewno2, featuring George Harrison ‘s son Dhani, have released their track Never Too Late for streaming.
It’s taken from their soundtrack for supernatural movie Beautiful Creatures. Harrison says the band members split writing and recording duties across the lead characters, telling Rolling Stone: “I got the evil girls. I kind of fancied them at the beginning. I was very adamant about that – ‘I want the most evil people in the film.'”Sessions took place in Abbey Road , offering Harrison his first chance to work where his father had done in the 1960s. He took the opportunity to play the piano known as Mrs Mills, saying: “If you could see this piano’s discography, it would put most artists to shame. And they just leave her in the corner. She’s just sitting there in the corner. So when we got there, we were like, ‘Mrs. Mills!'” Listen to the song here.
The song is gorgeous, btw.
Also, the group’s announced tour dates.

Flo Rida: I Want to Collaborate With Paul McCartney
Flo Rida has collaborated with a wide array of artists from the hip-hop and pop music spectrums, but never before would we expect his dream collaboration to be with a Beatle. But that’s exactly what he told us.
During OK! Magazine’s pre-Grammy party, we caught up with the Florida rapper when this bombshell of insider info was dropped on us.
“…Recently, I got a chance to work out at the gym with Paul McCartney during Super Bowl,” he told Stereotude. “I was shocked. He actually came to my concert as well. So that was something big.”

Interview with Paul at BB6. DJs are a bit annoying, but interesting interview. He can be heard starting at :46 min and again at 1:44, talking about his new album, his 17th Grammy win and the Sound City documentary. And we now know that Johnny Depp gave him that cigar box guitar.

Gutted on finding out as like Parlance i’d heard he was on the road to recovery. I havent heard much of his other work but the songs with the early Beatles are great examples of early rock and roll with a lot of energy and a very enjoyable listenable. In his interviews he came across as a down to earth guy who was happy to have a part in the history of the beatles, but unlike a former beatle drummer wasnt looking to butt in and make spurious claims aimed at boosting his own reputation and ego. Rightly he will remain an important part of the Beatles legacy. Also find it incredible that Tony was the first person to play live electric guitar on British TV. A sad loss.
