If I’d gotten a can, I’d definitely hang on to it. I have a couple of interesting bottles/cans from trips to London, including the limited and very interesting foray into orange-flavored Coke.

Orange-flavoured coke? Yock! Sounds mank

Surely this is the only orange to drink

Anyone interested in Beatles’ memorabilia should check out this upcoming auction. Lot of good stuff. Will be interesting to see what things go for.

Have found the only orange to drink is orange juice (not that revolving orange juice drink stuff). Have never liked fizzy orange, apple or lime. Once had a lime milkshake (not fizzy), around the time Ghostbusters was huge (lime =ing slime); spewed it up about 10 minutes later. Made for a great birthday.

Yeah, off topic, stay on it, yada yada.

Article on a guy who collects offbeat memorabilia.

Cushman, a Mattapoisett resident and native of Middleboro, has an extensive Beatles collection that includes a pair of John Lennon ’s long johns, a locket of Paul McCartney ’s hair, Ringo Starr ’s drumsticks and a t-shirt that belonged to George Harrison .

I wonder what color the locket of Paul’s hair is? His Beatles days color? One of the shades of violent chestnut?

I couldn’t think of a place to put this other than the news:

Paul McCartney’s website on March 17 unveiled a new use of 3-D printing – a three-dimensional Paul McCartney . The 3-D figure came out of his recent “Hope For The Future ” music video in which McCartney’s form was scanned for the video. The website says that after the video was made, they asked for the film and they then turned him into a 3-D figure. A time-lapse video of the process to create the 3-D figure is here.

You can print the 3-D figure yourself. The file, which is 50 megabytes in size, can be downloaded here. You can either take the file to a local or online printing company who can make it for you or print it yourself if you have access to a 3-D printer.

I’m thinking a Paul McCartney checker set.

And there are two others! Same design but with “I wanna hold your fries” or “I get be with a little help from my fries”!

What the feck were Apple thinking? What the feck was Paul thinking agreeing to The Beatles being used by a company that are high on his hate list?

It’s all about the money, money, money…

I have one of these. I paid $15.00 for mine (actually someone bought it for me). I guess they are vintage, they say NEMS 1964 on them.

My rants are not on tap, take effort and energy you know. I put them in storage until the wind blows in the right direction. In truth i’m more disappointed that McDonalds didnt have the Big Mac-ca as a burger.

Go here to check out the new lava lamps; there are THREE (count them, THREE) Yellow Submarine -themed lamps! I’m disappointed there is no Revolver lamp but I’m guessing Apple couldn’t be bothered clearing it with Klaus or giving him a cut. But anyway I don’t think I can stop with just one, I need the Sgt Peppers one and one of the Yellow Submarine ones but I can’t decide which.

On another thread forum members are debating whether we “Are we witnessing the last generation of Beatle fans?” [I’m paraphrasing]).

On a related note, I’ve been advised to sell my Beatle / Space memorabilia collection NOW because those most interested in it would currently  be in their 60s. Pretty soon that group will be too old to be interested in buying that stuff, and the next generations won’t care at all.

But American Civil War memorabilia is going strong; my thinking is that there will never be another Beatles or another space race.

Well, I’m nowhere near my sixties yet (36, actually) and I’d love to own some proper Beatles memorabilia. Can’t afford anything good, but I’d love to nonetheless. And as for the last generation… I saw this video of kids watching the Beatles and there was this girl of about 6 or 7 years old who was a huge Beatles fan. She knew everything about them! There’s a whole new generation of fans growing up right now, and I’m sure new Beatlemaniacs will be born for at least another 100 years. They’re timeless!

Take it from me, don’t start getting hooked on Beatles memorabilia. It’ll cost you 2 arms and 2 legs+, and you’ll never find the end of the tunnel, there is just too much stuff out there.
I just ended up selling off a lot of stuff and kept the minimum.  Beatles Blu Rays and Original UK LP’s.  brian-epstein

I’ll probably start with the MMT one as that US Capitol album was my introduction to the music of the Beatles. If I like it, I may buy others but I don’t know what I would do with a crapload of lava lamps.

How about this, @ewe2 – turn them all on in a dark room and play ‘Revolution 9 ‘.
