Dealing with Beatles memorabilia for as long as I have…it’s amazing to see the prices that the good stuff gets at auction. If you’ve got a piece of Beatles memorabilia…it will rise in value. If you’ve got something that was signed…handwritten…owned…used…touched…or worn…by any of The Beatles…you COULD be sitting on a small fortune.

Yeah,…he’s been closed for a while now.Where do you get your stuff???
Oh ya i thought so. It’s a shame thought because it was a great place. The funny thing is i used to pop down there back when i was a broke student. Now that i actually have some disposable money, the place doesn’t exist! ALthough i guess it’s far easier now to buy beatle stuff as lots of stores have trinkets and what not officially licensed and otherwise. If i’m in the mood to pick up something more unusual or rare i usually check out ebay now. Which reminds me that i am waiting on those bobbleheads i ended up buying them.
I still can’t get over that list you provided mate. it’s unreal.

What’s unreal?…my stuff?…nah…I’ve been lucky to be able to have the stuff I’ve got. There are other collectors with better stuff then mine. I love John Lennon …I’m always looking for Lennon memorabilia…stuff that he wore…or owned. The unusual stuff…when I do a show,I always get a great reception from the fans…I like sharing the collection with the fans…what’s the use of having the stuff if you don’t share it…My wife has a huge collection of vintage Disney memorabilia…toys…artwork from the films…she has stuff from 1933 thru 1963…the house looks like a museum…

How can you be sure that it is all original though, and not just any old necktie that someone has copied Ringo’s signature on??
I’ve always got my eye out for things like these (on ebay, mainly) but I have no idea how to to tell what is actually what it says it is. I imagine the majority of what’s on ebay isn’t.

Hey fabfouremily…Because I do my research on Beatles autographs…and I’ve learned from the best…and I buy from the best. I’ve been doing this for almost 26 years…I’m pretty good at spotting fakes…the Ringo signed necktie was given to a Princess Diana celebrity clothing auction…Ringo was asked to donate an item of clothing…he sent them a maroon colored tie…signed it…and I also have a signed note from Ringo on his company letterhead…(Rocca Bella Inc.).”Here’s a necktie for your auction…Good Luck….Ringo”…
Beatles autographs are the most forged autographs on the market because of their value. If you want real Beatles autographs or Beatles handwriting…your going to have to pay for it.There are no sets of Beatles autographs or a signed Beatles album for
100 bucks.

So…did you buy his tooth or were you outbid at auction?
But seriously folks…some of our Forum members have posted pics of some of their loot. If you have any to share, it would be fantastic.
Thanks!

Hi There Fellow Beatles Fans – been checking out this forum and this thread for a while now but just finally registered today.
Although I’m 100% sure this counts as “Memorabilia”, I thought I’d show off a few pieces of original artwork from Tom Wilkes the album cover artist that I just picked up. Tom was responsible for a number of Beatles album covers including the two Beatles compilation albums released in 1973, “The Beatles 1962-1966“, “The Beatles 1967-1970” and a number of George Harrison ‘s albums (he designed a number of other album-covers as well for Rollings Stones, Janis Joplin, etc.) and perhaps is most known for being the art director for the great Monterey Pop Festival.
The 3 pieces of Tom’s that I have are all pretty different and in my opinion pretty cool….the one that’s most closely linked to The Beatles is the original artwork that Tom submitted to George Harrison for the cover of ‘All Things Must Pass ‘, but was ultimately rejected as ‘too controversial’ at the time. I don’t know the entire story behind this, but I recently reached out to the awesome author Bruce Spizer who wrote the book “The Beatles Solo on Apple Records”, and it appears to be Tom’s art work for his “All Things Must Pass ” poster before the photos were inserted. More info about this piece can been found by reading Tom’s letter to George here (http://www.allthingsmustpass.c…..index.html click on ‘A’ for ‘Album Art” to read the letter).
I’m going to try and link/embed some photos below from photobucket, I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts whether you think it’s pretty cool, horribly ugly, or just want to let me know that my first post on this awesome board is totally in the wrong place!
Thanks!
The first pic below I found online, the rest of the pics I took in my living room.

Grandparents are visiting and they have brought with them a couple of goodies for me .
The John Lennon Letters, I didn´t realise it was going to be such a pretty book to look at, just plain white, of course, but somehow really pretty. And heavy. Can´t wait to begin reading it.
A cool bowl made out of a Yellow Submarine LP. Very funky, me likey lots.

I began reading the first chapter last night and so far – very good. I like it how there is plenty of info about each letter because otherwise I wouldn’t know anything about them and it would be a bit boring.

Again…being a “newbie” here, I am sure this topic has been covered…but I’d love to hear what anyone out there may have?!
I myself have a few vinyl discs (such as Rubber Soul ) from England with their photo on the disc that I purchased from a collector about 20+ years ago. Being that I have two sisters who were a good deal older than I, who were huge Beatle fans right from the start of Beatlemania…I have been lucky enough to acquire a few things from them. One is my Sis’ collection of Beatles bubble gum cards! They are so cool. My prize collectable tho is my Beatles wallet that my sister received new in 1965!

I am collecting records, because I like listening to them. I have a 3rd press US SPLHCB which might not be worth much but it’s older than me =o. That’s the oldest record I have, some of my other records are pressed in the 80’s.

I’m collecting records as well. I have the White Album (first press) Let It Be (might be an 1st press or not), A Hard Day’s Night (the American version, 2nd or 3rd press), the Blue Album , Abbey Road , and Magical Mystery Tour singles that came with my bluray set. What I have as modern collectibles are: the albums (cd/downloads), a few books, blu rays/dvds, posters, The Beatles Monopoly, coffee mugs (I use to have three, but one disappeared) , shot glasses, and t-shirts. I got to say my prize collectible is the White Album vinyl.
