I really can NOT to share this list of 13 BEATLES LULLABY songs in the Baker’s Dozen. I have to digest this now.

Sleepy Beatles Songs

1. Long and Winding Road (strings; Phil Spector was great)

2. Yes It Is (soothing)

3. Yesterday (sad, melodious)

4. The Fool On The Hill (the Dreamy flute)

5. Across The Universe (Jai guru deva)

6. Let it Be (strings, piano)

7. Something (guitar work)

8. Here, There And Everywhere (soothing, calming)

9. I’ll Follow The Sun (acoustic)

10. Julia (singing softly)

11. Sun King (slow, bass track as well)

12. Mother Nature’s Son (back to the woods in connecting with deep within)

13. She’s Leaving Home (Fairy Tale)

14. Junk (sleepy)

15. Good Night [:)]

**Not “Long, Long, Long ” because of the strange guitar howling at the end. It’s a wake-up.

Surprised I’m So Tired didn’t make the cut — seems a natural.

Now today I find, you have changed your mind

John Lennon shouts in it.

You’re right. Maybe the song could work as comedy relief — someone trying to get to sleep, then they keep getting roused awake every time John raises his voice.

I’m Only Sleeping . Although it’s not a lullaby, the yawn sounds and slurry vocals definitely evoke a sleepiness (for me anyway)

I think it's great you're going through a phase,

and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

of days

The only shout is the last “I’m going insane”, which I think is relatable to anyone with insomnia. I think everyone has had those frustrating nights where you know you need sleep for the next day, but no matter how hard you try it just won’t happen. The song is so desperately sleepy.

Well, there are a few instances of John winding up into a phrase of loud singing — maybe not technically “shouting” but loud enough to disturb someone trying to take their nappy-poo.

It should also be stressed, Sea Belt, that the Phil Spector 1970 mix is the best for Let it Be or Long And Winding Road.

Those strings and orchestral arrangements can lull me to sleep very quickly. Same with While My Guitar Gently Weeps – the acoustic version released on the 50th was terrible, had no volume or meaning whatsoever.
