Here is a link to a Beatles Tribute song I wrote with another guy.
http://whenthelastbeatlesgone……bute-song/
The song is called “When The Last Beatles Gone“
It is a home demo at the moment (hope one day to get a better version) and is basically about how the Beatles influenced the world and what like will be like when there are now Beatles left. A sad day that will be.
Verse 1
Doesn’t seem so long agoOn that Little AM radio
The world heard “Love is all you Need”
Four Lads from Liverpool
Somehow re-wrote the rules
Still today we feel their legacy.

I don't know if any of you guys are following British politics really, but the Liberative Torycrats are making horrific spending cuts, and dooming all students. Which has spawned this little number, a parody of the Beatles' 'Dear Prudence '.
Enjoy (NSFW due to swears).
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

It's a nice song… I mean the topic is sad but the song is nice. I like the country style.
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.
Beware of Darkness…
I just stumbled upon this while doing a Google Images search for something else. I think Mith would like it. Sadly they're out of stock right now.

Aww yes!! George's guitar!! I'd love to have one but an actual guitar to learn to play.
I'm not sure but this is George's All You Need Is Love hand-painted guitar right? I love the Go Cat Go

I saw that link yesterday on Twitter. I clicked on it thinking “Hmm, I wonder if they say anything that isn’t in my article,” then found it *was* my article! Great to have a site like BB link to me – it’s a high profile site so it’ll do some good for my Google ranking. I’ve had a traffic spike since yesterday which is nice too.
Hamburg was ace, though I’ll post a fuller report in the “Visits to Liverpool and Hamburg” thread. I have photos to share but I think it’ll be the weekend before I have a chance to go through them.
I stood in the Rock N Roll doorway and my dad took my picture. That was the highlight.

Some of you may already be aware of this, but I just discovered a wonderful Internet Radio site called Liverpool Revolution Live. I found it quite by accident (like the feedback at the beginning of “I Feel Fine “) by messing about in the “Radio” section of iTunes – that is where I listen to it, but the web site looks cool as well.
They play all of their songs of course, but there are some incredibly rare recordings as well. Right now, I'm listening to “Child Of Nature“!! I've also heard some of the much lesser played rooftop recordings and May 1962 rehearsal sessions from The Cavern.
Oh my God , now they are playing “Shimmy Like Kate” from the Star Club, December 1962!

Thanks Zig. Listening to it at the moment. Have been looking for a beatles station that doesnt just play the commercial versions. Tho its pretty weird going from Polythen Pam to I'll Get You (live) to Pepper Reprise (Anthology).
And to hear the cavern I Saw Her Standing There !! How fab and unexpected.

I just heard about 60 seconds or so of some Quarry Men excerpts – very static laden, but it gave me the chills.

I heard that same recording about a year ago on a Beatles radio stream, but I could never find it on the Internet. Thank you Zig!!! It is magical isn't it? What amazes me is that it could be any high school band except for one thing: John's voice. That's what jumps out at me about the record.

"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.
"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

Its surprising that it exists; a recording of the Quarrymen that just happened to be the day Paul met John. These type of events get me thinking that there was something pulling the beatles together documenting it right from the beginning. I mean we have the Quarrymen in 1957 and 1958, the silver beatles recordings in 1960, hamburg, decca, cavern rehearsals, cavern live, various home recordings, live concerts, studio outtakes, tv shows. There is actually meant to be more of the Cavern recordings including the beatles playing live, I think Paul bought it.
And who knows whats laying around yet to be found or released.

It's DESTINY…. But really, there are so many coincedences that almost couldn't have happened: Paul and George both getting into the Inny, and riding the same bus, so they met, Ivan Vaughan knowing both John and Paul, Ringo being booked for the same place in Hamburg…a few twists of fate and none of them would ever have met.
