My “dream”: It would be awesome if there were so many people on here that we could have a day where we all wear something to see who else is on the forum…. What if we did that globally with Beatles fans? I know there is a National Beatles Day or whatever, but it’s more than listening to their music because most obsessive fans already do that every day. It’s more about connecting with others who share the interest and how their music is more than alive, but flourishing. If we connected with others on social media with this idea, we could get Beatles fans to wear a rabbit a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 or an apple sticker (subtlety is key).

That was either really off-topic or on depending if you like metaphors. If anyone has any actual ideas, maybe we could start a new topic on it.

I had my first Beatley dream in quite a while last night:

I don’t remember all of it but I know it involved late-years George showing us round his house, which sadly was not even vaguely Friar Park-esque. It was more like a drafty, cluttered barn.

I remember there was a coldiness to George’s voice, unlike his early-years sound, and I knew he was sick, but he was walking around and chatting just fine, so he wasn’t that sick.

We (myself and possibly family members) followed him out to the actual barn, which was also a mess, with long tall grass and rusty farm equipment, and which was likely inspired by the barns I have known here in the southeastern US. I do recall him talking in a distinct Southern twang, which I thought was all wrong, and I tried to properly Scousify his speech, but it wouldn’t.

Sigh a-hard-days-night-paul-7

They weren’t in America on either date.

July 10th 1964 the ‘A Hard Day’s Night ‘ LP got released in the UK. No idea off the top of my head about the 27th February.

Whats so special about the 16th January? Was that when ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand ‘ first hit number 1 in the US?

Edit: Nope, according to wiki it reached number 1 on the 1st February

It was also the group’s first American number one, entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart on 13 January 1964 at number forty-five and starting the British invasion of the American music industry. By 1 February it held the number-one spot, and stayed there for seven weeks before being replaced by “She Loves You “…

According to a website (I think it’s called The Bible of Beatles or something), the Beatles reached number one in the Cash Box chart on 16 January.

Ah, thanks @pepperland. So this is another one of those chart discrepancies. Good to have it answered tho.

Two nights ago I had this really muddled dream about the (very) end of George’s life… and it involved myself acting as him, really weird. As I recall I had to get a haircut.

The most memorable bit was toward the end (or was it the middle? I have no idea…); I was listening to Brainwashed. It started out normally but then there was something different from what I knew and I looked and it was an alternate version of the Brainwashed we all know and love. P2 Vatican Blues was in a different key and had an entirely different lyric. Then there was a Harrison demo of

I’d love to hear that demo of Have a Cigar, could you extract it from your dream brain please?

This era Beatles
1969.jpgImage Enlarger

were in a bar practicing. They were going to be playing and singing to the bar crowd that night. [Yay for later era Beatles playing live. Boo for me not remembering what songs they were playing during the practice session.]

What I do remember is a waitress who was there getting the bar ready for the night was doing the hippy, hippy shake with all of her might while cleaning the drinking glasses. Lucky duck was getting a free pre-concert show from the Fab Four. She was wearing round, John Lennon style glasses. The lenses in them were very, very thick.

I dreamt of Paul and Linda last night. Actually it was just them in a music video, as I was listening to some Maccasong that was most likely a product of my unconscious mind (very nice tune too, wish I could remember it). They were being very romantic and adorable and suchlike.

Then, later, I dreamt that I was in the kitchen (me and my monkeys) and Little Girl somehow played ‘English Tea’. (It was the genuine thing too– I have a tendency to dream of songs, and they are the actual song, not just something my dream-mind says is the song.) And in the dream, it was a video as well, and there was footage of Paul sitting with She Who Must Not Be Named a-hard-days-night-george-10 and baby Beatrice. And all of a sudden we were in the video, not interacting with Paul or anyone, but just watching. After the song finished I commented, ‘This song always reminded me of For No One , only happy instead of sad.’

I was riding in a car with old Ringo. We were having some kind of conversation but all I remember is that he was very calming and nice. I probably dreamt that because I’m getting tickets soon and of all the Ringo action yesterday with the whole Twitter thing.

Is the jacket all you remember from the dream or was that jacket your whole dream? @Ahhh Girl
