Last night I dreamed I was standing there (don’t know where…I just remember that I was standing up) looking at a cd. I thought to myself, “I’m glad the information is locked on here so no one can change Mull Of Kintyre to Mullet of Kintyre.”

Well, I had my first Beatle dream last night — about Paul McCartney . It seemed to be the Paul of the 80s, and Linda was around. However, I felt in my dream it was the present time also.
Paul, Linda, and several of his “people” were in some backstage area, and I got in there somehow. Paul was wearing some kind of costume, and he was sitting on a toy horse in the back of the room. I felt like boldly going over there. When I got there, a couple of other people were talking to him, but I boldly interrupted them to tell him that I had just seen a 2-hour special about the Beatles and really enjoyed it. I felt a little embarrassed about interrupting, but forged ahead anyway. Paul didn’t take it bad, and said something polite in return. He seemed to be willing to listen to me, but suddenly I froze up and couldn’t think of anything to say! I told him I was tongue-tied, and he seemed okay with that. The only thing I could think to ask him was whether he knew some Al Stewart song. He said yes, and asked me to follow him over to another area, where he sat on the floor and showed me a pile of albums. While I was looking for the Al Stewart album, he asked if it was “Year of the Cat”, but I said no as I rifled through the albums to find the one. Then I noticed an album that looked like an Osibisa album cover, and I noted that to him. Then I actually found that same Osibisa album.
During all this, Paul was being calm and friendly, like he had all the time in the world. However, at that point, a young woman came up to where we were and said something, but Paul told her to go away, that he didn’t like her. For some reason, I sort of thought Paul was right. I returned to chatting with him — then I woke up…
All in all, the dream was a good feeling. Paul was quite forgiving of my awestruck fan attitude.

I had a weird one a few years ago, where I was sleeping in the attic, the Ronald Reagan and George Harrison tried to burglarize my house. I have no idea where it came from.

Wow, Reagan and Harrison — what a dynamic duo! That might make a good, albeit bizarre, comedy movie: teaming up two of the unlikeliest partners ever, fighting crime (or committing crimes…)

Jesting is fun. There was a time earlier on that I didn’t realize you were jesting, and I went into a tailspin. You can ask Emily.

I would hate to think i was bugging or troubling anyone as thats not what i want to do or cause. Being serious for a minute, if i do or have made anyone feel bad, sad or low at any time then i apologise wholeheartedly. My sense of humour can be very dry at times and i forget at times its hard not seeing the context meant when written.
This site and forum should be for sharing our love of the Beatles and having fun with others, not pissing people off, making them feel like crap, or anything like that.

In my case, I was just being my over-sensitive, pathological people-pleaser self. My un-sure-edness about whether you were jesting or not was a manifestation of the respect I have for you.
Sweet meanmistermustard. No, that isn’t an oxymoron.

^^^^ and in the end we’re all friends….yay!
Anyhoo Dhani has been stalking the hell out of my dreams and they are just pretty random dreams, one of which I can strongly remember went something like this:
thenewno2 used to do webchats on their official site (they don’t do them anymore…bah) and the boys used to answer questions. Well somehow I just began talking to Dhani for about an hour and it seems my English poetry has become entwined with my dreams. Apparently Dhani suffers from depression (who knew?) and he describes it (in an ode to Sylvia Plath it seems) as a black rook that casts shadows over Friar Park (Friar Park symbolises his mind, I gather) So I was telling him it reminds me quite a bit of Plath’s poem “Black Rook in Rainy Weather” and I asked him if he had read it before, he said “no” and I sent him a link to a reading of it by Plath herself. Then my dream ended, quite a sad dream but I do remember “dream-me” laughing during parts of it.
For all who have never heard of Sylvia Plath/Black Rook in Rainy Weather here’s a link but if you’re unhappy/in a dark place I wouldn’t recommend you listening to it as it quite a depressing poem

Sylvia Plath is like the godmother or Patron Saint of all young women who go through bleak dark periods in their lives. In former eras, that privilege might have gone to Julian of Norwich (who proferred at the end of the tunnel a light, or small still candleflame, no longer tenable for many individuals in our Enlightened era…).

Had a dream that I was visiting (trespassing?) in some big upper-middle class suburban home where there was a cool record playing on the stereo. The music was vaguely familiar-sounding, even though I’ve never heard it in real life (nobody has.) Very spacy, with swirling pulsing Moog synthesizers and an airy, recognizable vocal on top. I looked at the record and realized “Of course!” It was George Harrison , from his 1971 debut solo album, released while the Beatles were still together – they didn’t break up until 1973 or so. (This was a dream, understand.) The song playing was called “Velotuary” and was like seven minutes long and apparently described a flight in some kind of flying machine. The album was simply titled George Harrison and was (I realized) one of the original special limited-edition issues, housed in a sort of “frame” made out of thick black inflatable vinyl – imagine an album with a big black inflatable cushion all around it! The cover itself was mostly black except for a square in the middle, roughly label-sized, with George’s profile in black-on-green silhouette and his name in a rounded, kind of typical late ’60s/early ’70s typeface. I could see that the record itself was in great shape for an original.
Then I left the house by the front door and immediately realized that I was at some kind of house-party where friends and family were gathered around eating and talking. And somebody handed me a hamburger, and then a bunch of other stuff happened (non-Beatle related)…

Last night I dreamed that I had a big pile of keys, and I couldn’t remember what all of them went to. So I bought a bunch of key rings that have a place for you to write on them what the key is for. I was starting on a project to get them all sorted out and labeled.
Doesn’t sound much like a Beatley dream unless you read the conversation acmac and I had about Alligator yesterday afternoon.

I should have known that watching 5 episodes of Zero Hour in a row and listening to the Beatles in the meantime would have its consequences. Especially the time to get a good night sleep had come after a week of 4 to 5 hours sleep per night.
The dream began as a very normal event, I was taking the usual walk with my friends. We were chatting about a math task, as we (sadly and) usually do when I decided it was time to go home. On my way, though, is when things started to get weird. Before I knew what was happening, I was in a speeding car ride with Hank and Laila in some form of a desert. It started to turn into a Beatles dream when I was telling Laila that Eric Clapton’s “Layla” was inspired by George’s wife (hence the similar conversation I had with a friend yesterday). She showed no interest in my story, but she did tell me that Paul was her favorite Beatle. When I was about to say that I agreed with her, the car went out of control and I ended up in a lake on my own. Weirdly enough, I couldn’t swim, but I was lucky that a friend of mine was already there and helped me find my way to the shore. Over there was where I found Hank’s car (which looked like some roofless, mini toy) parked in a garage. I hurried to get to it, because for some reason, I felt like I needed to get away as soon as possible. But once I got inside the car, I realized I couldn’t drive. All panicked, I was shouting for help. That’s when I saw Hank hiding behind a tree that appeared out of nowhere, and he showed me a paper where he had written “Ask for help behind the garage”. I hurried to get there, which seemed to take forever, even though it was only 5-7 meters maximum away. I found a lot of people there, and among them was George. “Help!” I dared to speak as loudly in the most hushed of voices, and he came to me and took my hand. “Can you teach me how to drive?” was my next question, and even though he made sure to laugh at me, he agreed. I led him to the car, and the way back appeared to be much shorter than earlier, and before we got there, I stopped to hug him. It didn’t take him long to hug me back, and it was a very warm embrace. We were hugging for a long time, and in every moment I had a feeling as if there was someone watching me from behind, as if I was doing something wrong. But George had his arms wrapped tightly around me, and when I woke up, it felt so real that it took me a while to realize that it had been a dream.

A few days after my Paul dream, I dreamt I was trying to find a bus to get to a new sci-fi movie a friend had given me a ticket for, when outside in an apartment courtyard, I ran into actress Jennifer Anniston, and I sat down on a bench to talk with her, and she let me hold her hand and rest my head on her shoulder, then she invited me into her posh apartment building, and I had the feeling that we were certainly going to “get it on”. We crossed the lobby and got in the elevators, and I was hoping we could ride up to her suite alone, but then this black lady squeezed in through the doors at the last minute and Jennifer started gabbing with her. Then I woke up.
Then a couple of days after that, I dreamt I was watching Mick Jagger backstage before a concert; he was just walking around, talking and helping the crew out. At one point, he helped to test one of the drums on the drumset by running his fingers along the underside of the rim. It was the Mick of today in my mind, yet he looked super youngish, almost like a young Paul or Donovan, with big puppy dog eyes. It was a strange combination, and the purple jacket he wore and high-heeled shoes made him look younger as well. He also walked funny, like those weird calf-life alien beings in the Charlie Sheen movie The Arrival (1996).
