There wasn’t a “neutral” topic for reporting on covers of songs by The Beatles. This is for posting/reporting covers. I’m sure this will lead to discussions, but at least you don’t have to decide if a cover is the best or worst ever if your opinion veers more towards the middle.
To start out:
From Billboard: The Beatles’ ‘All You Need Is Love ‘ Back in Top 10, Thanks to Dave Koz (& Friends)
Here’s the cover:

Saw this in the news so thought why not post it.
‘Stereo Kicks’ (a band off ‘The X-Factor’ for those like me who have never heard of them) performed a medley of ‘Let It Be ‘ and ‘Hey Jude ‘ in the sing-off last weekend and stayed in the competition (source UTV – the video is below as you have to have a valid postcode (zipcode for those in the US) to hear it for some reason on the linked page).
Going by X-Factor standards ‘Let It Be ‘ isn’t that bad which is why i posted it here; i’ve heard far far worse in the past (or in the present going by their ‘Hey Jude ‘).

I’ve only found three Beatles covers that I thought approached the original, and two are there (The Black Keys’ She Said She Said and Hendrix’s Sgt. Pepper ‘s). And technically the third one isn’t a Beatles cover, but it counts, and it’s absolutely incredible. I present Green Day’s “Working Class Hero “, the single best cover in existence. Rolling Stone article on the new cover of ‘Imagine ‘ for UNICEF featuring a whole host of artists including Katy Perry, Nicole Kidman and Will.I.AM singing but in a twist from the norm they use John’s original version and John is in the video. It is really well done.

Nothing’s gonna change my world…except sounds from a comet. Mind blowingly cool. Nice find, @parlance

From Broadway World:
… a new generation of psych rock bands seek to bring back that sense of danger to the Beatles’ music, taking twelve classic compositions by the Fab Four and filtering them through modern sensibilities to bring a whole new perspective to these celebrated works. The resulting project, The Magical Mystery Psych Out – A Tribute To The Beatles, will be released on both CD and vinyl by Cleopatra Records today, March 3.

Very impressive. Love the choreography to do all the names and images, must have taken an age to get down.
So true. That is some kind of dedication on the part of the choreographer and the band members.
