10- Favorite Beatles outfits
See I Am The Walrus video.

1965-66

…and Wild Honey Pie , LOL

8 December 1980 and 29 November 2001. And maybe some other things.

Ive earned a break and am chocking so what better time.
1.Your Favorite Beatle? John or George
2.Your Favorite Beatles song. No Reply .
3- Your Favorite Beatles movie. Help !
5- A Beatles song that makes you cry. I dont think there is one.
6- A Beatles song that always cheers you up. No idea.
7.- A Beatles photo that makes you happy. A Day In The Life .
8.- Favorite Beatles album. Abbey Road
Number 9- A Beatles picture makes you angry/sad. No idea.
10- Favorite Beatles outfits. Shea Jackets era
11- Favorite Beatles era. Mid 1964 to 1966
12- A Beatles song you know all the words to. Quite a number, the first one i remembered was Im Down.
13- Your least favorite Beatles song. Hold Me Tight by a country mile.
14- 5 Things you would change about the Beatles. Im not one for that kind of thing. Life happened the way it did and we got some excellent music. However one would probably be the way they split and all the difficulties between Paul and John and Paul and George. The way John died is another, senseless and i cannot get my head around it ever. Very painful to revisit so i dont.
15- Your favorite Beatles book. A few. The Beatles Anthology would be one but the John C Winn books are excellent as are Lewinsohns and Sulpy’s.
16- Favorite art drawing from or of the Beatles. Havent got a clue.
17- Your favorite Beatles wife. I liked Linda.
18- Your least favorite Beatles wife. Heather for being a golddigging lying bitch, Yoko for trying to turn John into a Saint and selling everything and anything of his for a price in the pretense that John would have approved. Absolute bollocks.
19- Your favorite Beatles child. No idea. Cant say i have one.
20- Your least favorite Beatles album. Yellow Submarine . 4 new songs and 3 of those arent that good.
21- A Beatles song you listen to when your sad. Dont really listen to the Beatles when im sad.
22- A favorite Beatles instrument. Ringo on his drums, very cool to listen isolated, and John on harmonica .
23- Favorite Beatles tribute band. Dont like them, if i want to see the beatles i’ll watch the beatles.
24- Favorite staff members of the Beatles. Mal.
25- Favorite Beatles poster They ooze confidence, style and arrogance (in a good way). They knew they were good and miles ahead of the pack and i can see it in that. And i love how Johns looking into the camera whislt the other 3 are looking away.
26- Favorite Beatles moment. I have no idea. Would have to think about that one.
27- Your favorite Beatles concert. Probably the rooftop, one last outing of happiness for all four, even George got into it; either that or the Star Club in December ’62 when they rocked heavily like in the early days – after this it was more polished.
28- Your favorite Beatles hairstyle. See picture above in Q28.
29- Your favorite video of the Beatles on youtube (could be anything, interviews, them goofing, whatever). Im Down In Munich 1966. Paul forgets the words, confers with John (who was always forgetting the words to his own songs) and still completely messes it up. You can see they are having fun, a rarity in 1966 when on tour. Always perks me up.
30- Least favorite Beatles concert. 30th June 1966 Nipon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan. Often out of tune, obviously didnt give a s**t or want to be there (especially George and John, Ringo looks bored senseless) and hadnt bothered rehearsing. Complete mess. There are also a few bootlegged concerts in 1964 and 1965 where they were simply going thru the motions.

I don’t really like that concert, either.Hey, I just noticed something… this could go in one of my old threads, but around 16:20 or so John sings “I’m in love with me and I feel fine.”
That’s… pretty awesome. Which thread?
Randomly, I just remembered this is one of the concerts where Paul is missing half a toofus, which is always good for a yuk or two.

Is that true? There are enough incredibly stupid and money wasting scientific experiments that it wouldnt surprise me. We have had the perfect cup of tea, how to butter toast, why toast lands butter side down. There has probably been highly expensive scientific 3 month experiment on how to put your trousers on; sit at a 46 degree angle with your left leg 12 degrees Off The Ground , thrust your trousers quickly in the air to reduce trappings, tanglings etc, ensure unbuttoning and/or unzipping is carried out, at a speed of 0.3 mph pull on the left leg 3/4’s of the way up the thigh…

I wasnt ranting. I was perfectly settled in my mindset when posting that, its true that a load of money is wasted on a number of silly experiments. There was one a while back about how to cook the perfect fried breakfast, it baffles me why that needs money spent on it.
At this current moment i want to break the tv due to the Scotland National Football team so best i dont post elsewhere otherwise there will be a lot of anger and swear words. Just when you think it wont get worse it does. Anyone want to trade National football teams?
Edit: I think the songs i listen to should become side 2 of Abbey Road as thats what im listening to at the moment and its got me more cheerful. Such a bright, hopeful, perfect set of songs.

I wish they’d released the 4 YS songs (and Across The Universe ) as an EP as originally planned. I wish they’d never used Phil Spector and issued one of Glyn Johns’ Get Back albums (with the famous cover updating PPM ). And I wish John had never met Yoko. As a close 6th, I wish Brian Epstein had never died so he could have continued to be the steady guiding hand and they could’ve avoided the chaos that eventually led to their demise.

Okay, a couple of days to think about this, here goes…
1 – Your Favorite Beatle? John. No thought needed or required.
2 – Your Favorite Beatles song? At the moment, and this can only be an “at the moment” thing, it Revolution [take 20] – a still unreleased outtake that puts to bed the lie that everything worth releasing has been released.
3 – Your Favorite Beatles movie? Can’t choose, but it’s between A Hard Day’s Night and Yellow Submarine .
4 – Your favorite Beatles quote? “I’d like to thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves, and I hope we’ve passed the audition…” I love how that the last line on the last album released by them AS a group. Or “We were just a band that made it very, very big, that’s all,” from the 1971 Rolling Stone interview.
5 – A Beatles song that makes you cry? Golden Slumbers /Carry That Weight or, though not Beatles, but about them, Ringo’s Early 1970.
6 – A Beatles song that always cheers you up? Here Comes The Sun or All You Need Is Love or… this list could go on forever…
7- A Beatles photo that makes you happy? I love Astrid and Jurgen’s photos. If I had to go for one…
8 – Favorite Beatles album? All of them, but “at the moment” I am mainly listening to The White Album and Abbey Road (alongside The Esher Demos bootleg).
Number 9 – A Beatles picture makes you angry/sad? Another Astrid shot, John and George in Stuart’s attic studio at Astrid’s home after Stuart’s death. John just looks so broken and lost, and George just being there for his friend. Astrid said of the photo that it wasn’t planned but she looked at them and needed to take it. And then there’s that echo of what would be used on With The Beatles as well.
10 – Favorite Beatles outfits?
or
11 – Favorite Beatles era? 1960-1970
12 – A Beatles song you know all the words to? All of them. Two things that stick in my mind about lyrics: Back when I was at school, and studying English Literature for a long-gone exam called CSE, one of our set poems was She’s Leaving Home by John Lennon and Paul McCartney : I had a music book called something like The Greatest Rock and Roll Songs of All Time, and everything that The Beatles had covered, they gave their version of it – to the extent that the lyrics to Honey Don’t included Ringo’s shout-outs to George, and still credited to Carl Perkins!
13 – Your least favorite Beatles song? That’s like asking who your least favourite child is! I’m sorry, I love them all.
14 – 5 Things you would change about the Beatles? Much as there are things I would rather were not, the lives are the lives and that is why we love them. You change things and you risk damaging the beautiful gift they gave us.
15 – Your favorite Beatles book? Hunter Davies’ Authorised – for all its flaws, his witness reports of the writing and recording of Sgt. Pepper is a remarkable insight. Anything Lewisohn. Revolution in the Head. The Beatles at the Beeb.
16 – Favorite art drawing from or of the Beatles? Another of my favourite Beatles books is called The Art of The Beatles by Mike Evans. The last artwork he discovered for it, included as an epilogue and used as the fly sheet, is a painting by Barry Agar called the Trojan Horse. It is a remarkable achievement, and I have had to hunt the web to find a complete copy. It’s moreorless their Beayeux Tapesty. Incredible.
17 – Your favorite Beatles wife? Who am I to judge what makes them happy?
18 – Your least favorite Beatles wife? Hopalong.
19 – Your favorite Beatles child? Who am I to judge?
20 – Your least favorite Beatles album? Gun held to my head, Yellow Submarine ! Only four sodding songs! The ep was a much better idea and then let Capitol create an album out of it and whatever else was available.
21 – A Beatles song you listen to when you’re sad? I don’t really have one. If I need cheering up, I listen to The Beatles. Could be Revolution 9 and I’m still grinning.
22 – A favorite Beatles instrument?
23 – Favorite Beatles tribute band? Probaby The Bootleg Beatles. There used to be a great tribute band called The Cavern Beatles. Don’t know if they’re still around. They had a great John Lennon .
24 – Favorite staff members of the Beatles? Alf Bicknell.
25 – Favorite Beatles poster?
Beautiful Richard Avedon shots of the group issued as posters through various routes. I created my own t-shirts from these. John and George get worn the most.
26 – Favorite Beatles moment? John messing up the lyrics to Don’t Let Me Down on the rooftop. I just love his gooning.
27 – Your favorite Beatles concert?
or
28 – Your favorite Beatles hairstyle? Erm… I suppose… something like…
Arthur!
29- Your favorite video of the Beatles on youtube (could be anything, interviews, them goofing, whatever)?
30 – Least favorite Beatles concert? Don’t have one. Love The Beatles live!
