George's film company were called Working Title Films. They helped Monty Python put their stuff out there, but had a few too many flops, and nearly sent George backrupt (hence Anthology).

I told her I didn’t

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8mr. S is right about HandMade Films being George's company.

Walrus, I think you are referring to the company that put out the films made by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, including one of my all-time favorites, “Shaun of the Dead”.  That company is called Working Title Films which I think is a brilliant name in and of itself.

What I was laughing about above was Joe and Ellie's referring to “Baby Ringo” as the working title as if they were writing a screenplay instead of having a baby.

It struck me as funny.

The Beatles often used working titles in the studio, eg I Want You, The Ballad Of John And Yoko (They’re Gonna Crucify Me), George’s Blues (Because You’re Sweet And Lovely), It’s Been A Long Long Long Time, Get You In The End . I wasn’t thinking of screenplays.

I should probably compile a list of those titles – it’d be good to have them all in one place.

I like Astrid, it's just that…

“What's your name?”

“Astrid”

“Like Astrid Lindgren?”

“No, Astrid Kirchherr”

“Who?”

“…”

a-hard-days-night-george-10 At least it wouldn't be so obvious. Astrid Linda sounds kind of nice to me

Today my niece and my niece-granddaughter are visiting my house (My niece is the daughter of my older brother, she's 23), they live in another city,  and I didn't quite remember her middle name. She's Zoe Abigail, so guess how I call her: Abbey. a-hard-days-night-john-1

I think “great niece” is the phrase you are looking for.

I know you've settled on a name, but I just wanted to throw out my Beatles-related future son's name (long long long time in the future)…John Callum Paul, called Callum. I love it, and it sounds so right when I say it. We girls think about these things. I've been naming my children since I was like 9.

The following people thank kedame for this post:

I know I'm late on this, and that it's late April, but congrats on the baby!

If I were to choose, like, if I were to have a boy, probably name him the fathers name for the first name, and then Paul, after my father. But who knows? The dad might have some weird name like my weird name, or some really common name. Or, I just might not ever have kids. Or maybe it won't fit the last name.

If it were a girl, I think I'd name her Cynthia, after my aunt, or Cecelia, after my other great-aunt. Heck, maybe even Ofelia, but none of those are Beatley, except Cynthia.

I salute the lady who screamed "I love you Paul!" at a tribute band's concert.
