I see the thread died out over five years ago. I suppose my question is sort of answered by a few commenters here — namely, that the Beatles didn’t do Woodstock because they were already at a tether end of their existence as a band by that time.
Still, what a swan song a Woodstock performance would have been! Not just musically, but also culturally and historically…
Someone (Paul, perhaps?) should have really pushed them to do it — not in order to stay together as a band, but precisely as a dramatic and climactic way to say goodbye to the Beatles!

Had The Beatles somehow managed to agree among themselves to perform, it still seems highly unlikely they could have got to Woodstock.
John was being denied a visa to enter the US for work purposes by the Nixon administration at the time, which is why the second bed-in was held in Canada, because his drug bust was being used to deny him entry to the US and it was the closest he could get. I personally can’t see Nixon being any more welcoming of the four of them coming to perform at a festival whose slogan was “Three days of Peace, Love and Music”.
Unless the Nixon administration had reversed it’s position on John, The Beatles could not have played even had they wanted to.

I saw a documentary film about Jimi Hendrix, and there Paul Mccartney states that, The Beatles was invited to attend but as they were quite busy making an album they say they couldn’t manage that. Instead Paul recommended Jimi, cause he was so impressed of him, and that was actually the reason why Jimi attended Woodstock ( good for him though:-)))

That was the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967, @Eleanor Macca. Paul agreed to have his name attached to it, even though The Beatles couldn’t perform, as Derek Taylor was on the organising committee. Paul suggested both The Who and The Jimi Hendrix Experience for the bill, providing both with breakthrough performances.

Man, raw versions of some of those songs from 1967-69 would have been awesome.
Start off with Sgt Pepper / With A Little Help From My Friends , I Am The Walrus , Baby You’re A Rich Man , Hello Goodbye , Revolution , Back In The USSR , Helter Skelter , While My Guitar Gently Weeps , Hey Bulldog and maybe throw in some older songs like Rain , Taxman , Drive My Car , Day Tripper , etc….
I have to agree with others, that they might be sick of doing the older (Beatlemania) stuff like Help ! and earlier.

You’re absolutely rigth, @Ron Nasty ! My fault messing up the two events Thanks for that !
But of course… It was when Jimi sets fire on his guitar and I think The Beatles was making Sgt. Pepper at that time…

Why can’t they do some stuff off Let It Be ? I feel like If they played Woodstock in 69 it would be a similar show to the intended finale to the Let It Be movie. I would expect to see some Get Back , I’ve Got A Feeling , and Don’t Let Me Down . I also would hope to see While My Guitar Gently Weeps .
