So, I'm working on a couple pairs of Beatle themed shoes for my brother. One shoe features the instruments they played, and the other is (hopefully, according to my ability) going to have a portrait of either John, Paul, George, or Ringo.
Here's the George instrument shoe
Now, here comes the problem. I can't figure out what guitars were used by Paul and John!
I know about Paul's Hofner bass and that John used a Rickenbacker, but I'm having a hard time finding anything specific. I'm trying to get three different instruments (not necessarily guitars/bass) on to each shoe, so if anyone has some details, they would be much appreciated.
Confusing a New/Uninformed Beatles Fan:
"…blah, blah, blah, Ringo Starr"
"Who's Ringo Starr?"
*Uncertain Face* "You know, the drummer from The Beatles?"
"No, no, no, that's Richard Starkey."
"But… your sister said…"
"Dude, she lied to you. It's definitely Richard Starkey."
Try it sometime. It's quite fun.

What was the keyboard that John played in HELP!? Or the one he played at Shea? That could give you some variety. This book might be useful too.
Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!
For live shows Lennon normally played a Rickenbacker 325 (occasionally called a Capri) in black. On the Apple rooftop (and during the later studio years) he played an Epiphone Casino in a beech wood finish.
McCartney had a Hofner violin bass, though I'm not sure it had another product name/serial number. In Magical Mystery Tour he played a Rickenbacker bass IIRC.
That Beatles Gear book that Skye linked to is very good.
Nice shoes btw. Incidentally, a Les Paul guitar doesn't have a double cutaway; the body is similar to the Duo Jet .

Oh, dear, I hadn't noticed the double cutaway. That was an accident, thanks for drawing my attention to it, I'll have to fix it.
And thanks so much for the help!

Thanks! The book looks really helpful. And keyboards are a good idea too.
