Okay, so I’ve been crazy with the LJ communities ever since I found capslock_beatle and I found this one rather interesting. It’s called BeatleSecret and can be found here.
Basically, people post pictures with things that they think or feel about their Beatlemania (and that of the people around them) that they’re afraid to openly say (IE: ‘I Love Yoko’, ‘Ringo was my favourite’, etc etc.)
It was an interesting read, so I thought I’d share. Have any secrets of your own?

You mean that you have a secret about being a Beatle fan? Umb………………….. not really. I mean, pretty much everybody knows I love the Beatles. Even my students write in Teacher’s Evaluation comments “The teacher loves the Beatles!!”
Maybe that when I was a kid, I wanted to be married with George Harrison . And now I wish I could play drums or guitar to play their songs.
Edit : Now I remember!! When I was a kid I wanted to be part of their entourage!! I hated doing errands for my family so when I was sent to the supermarket to buy something, I remember taking my walkman and I used to imagine “I’m buying this can of tuna to Ringo” LOL!!! That was quite silly I must say.

My (partial) Beatle secret is this site. Although all of my close friends know about it, loads of people I know more casually have no idea I spend all my time being a Beatlegeek. It’s quite funny when someone I know makes a throwaway comment on Facebook like “Just rediscovering Abbey Road – great album!” and I have to resist the urge to start telling them loads of random facts than only an obsessive would care about.

If you did that as a kid, it is perfectly understandable. If you still do that today, it is a secret you could have kept to yourself.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.
Beatle secrets? Well I sort of have one.
At the beginning of last year when I just got into the Beatles, I had a huge poster of the Hard Day’s Night album cover. My friend dared me to “make-out” with each of the faces. Well, how could I refuse the dare? I simply did so…..

Have a look at http://www.beatwear.co.uk/
I bought a pair from a Liverpool-based mail-order company back in the 90s – it may even have been the same people. They really didn’t suit me – I’m 6′ tall and with the Cuban heels and pointed toes it made me look like I was wearing high heels. I sent them back for a refund.
I love some of the clothes that site sells. I could do with a new suit – perhaps I should buy the Chesterfield, as I’ve been looking for a decent 60s/mod suit for a while. The black Shea Stadium jacket is very cool too.

Don't worry Sunii, I do that even when I'm not dared. But by myself.

I did that too… I stopped though, ummm… a couple of months ago. Don't judge, I'm a kid, I can still do that!

Oh, another one of my Beatle secrets… I boycotted Paul's solo music/Beatles songs for the first half of the summer (before the Paul concert) because whenever one of his songs ended, I got really scared.
And when Pete Quaife (the Kinks) and the bassist from that heavy metal band (I forgot what it was called) died, I FREAKED OUT and completely avoided anything related to Paul. I usually don't fall for those kind of superstitions, but geez. Two bassists down? I couldn't risk anything.

Dang! If I had Beatle boots, I'd wear them even more than I wear my high-tops….

Before the concert my nephew was bothering me that he was not going to make it. And I said “He's a Beatle. Nothing is Beatle-proof”
And when he said “And John and George?” I said “They're not dead! They are aliens and just went home!!”
yeah I know this is not an argument between a 20 year old and a 40 like me but anyway….

@Joe, is this still true now?
Just about everyone I come in contact with (even complete strangers sometimes; and people driving behind my car) learns of my Beatles obsession.
One of the members of my state library association committee, of which I am chair this year, came up to me after the meeting on Friday and told me how much he enjoys The Beatles lyrics and trivia that I put into all the the emails I send to the committee. He said he can’t wait to open emails from me to see what Beatles stuff I’ve sent.

Sometimes being a Beatle fan is better to be secret…I had a surprising argument with a friend because he could not accept that the Beatles were any kind of influence on his favourite band Radiohead and in addition, Radiohead and all music since the Beatles is an improvement on anything they ever did and the Beatles are incredibly overrated anyway by stupid old people and I was a complete idiot to think otherwise All I said was that maybe their stuff was still ok and many people have remarked on the influences in some songs, and I got my head bitten off. I’m careful to not pursue the subject further with him or with anyone who might misunderstand where I’m coming from. It’s easy to forget how important music and the people who make it is to people and boy did I overstep the mark. So there’s that level of secret.
Actually no the secret is that I like Ringo because he’s born in the same month as me and we’re both bad at writing songs unless we get help. And I used to have a massive Beatles poster on my wall (I think it was a White Album one). And I used to think that Words Of Love was a very naughty song. I’ll stop there.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.
