What on earth is that ‘Imagine ‘ type thingy? The lyrics are appalling and should be used as an example of how hard it is to write a song well.

It is a dark rewrite of Imagine and it is supposed to be appalling. 

(you’re right though, it’s very bad. Songwriting is hard 🙁 )

No, I wrote it. Just for fun though, I’m not trying to make a statement.

If you read post 2131 on page 107 through post 2167 on page 109 that should clear it up. Basically a bunch of us (cough cough Walry and I) got carried away with dark humor involving Beatles songs. 

  

Oh. I thought this was some political statement by some celeb using John’s song hence the lyrics. I read recently of lyrics of songs being changed either for PC reasons (‘Fairytale of New York’ one reason for the article) or to enhance a political/social message whilst having missed about the last 45 pages in here.
