. Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs. So (and in the backseat, such a disadvantage), I ask someone to crank it up, and then me and my brother started singing.
Pun intended?
I don’t think Arcade Fire have ever done anything that wasn’t genius.
I don't mind Mumford and Sons either, though their musical tracks sound eerily similar in every song. My favourite song of theirs is Winter Winds.

Certainly not intended. And I agree wholeheartedly.

Okay, Arcade Fire fans, what album would you recommend to a new listener to start off with?
(There have been so many posts on how good they are that I am expecting a band of Beatles calibre, just fyi. )
I think it's great you're going through a phase,
and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

They aren't quite as listenable as the Beatles, but they are pretty darn good. They're much more grandiose. Their songs tend to have McCartney's emotional side and Lennon's growling commentary.
Annoyingly, I haven't listened to The Suburbs all the way through because I don't own a copy and they aren't on Spotify. I'd recommend Funeral ahead of Neon Bible. I wrote about both albums on my tumblr a while ago, here is a link: http://brailli.tumblr.com/music – I also talk about my other 18 favourite albums of the past 20 years, Neon Bible and Funeral are at 8 and 4 respectively.
I'm post the opening tracks from both albums for you:

The Suburbs is probably my least favourite AF album. I’d start with Funeral, which is just stunning.
Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon

I've been listening lately to Radiohead's Kid-A. Brilliant album.
And the thing is that I didn't realize they also sing Creep, until someone pointed out today. I don't like that song, but that album, I insist, brilliant.

At this moment in time, OK Go and The Strokes. (I'm seeing the latter in 12 days and I'm so excited.)
WHAT?! Oh my goodness. Very very jealous.
As for the Radiohead discussion above, I enjoy them but it did take me a long time to get used to them. I love Separator off the new album, The King of Limbs, and a few others that I like are 15 Step and High and Dry. Rather chill music.
I am really liking my britpop right now, that's for sure. Arctic Monkeys, Kooks, etc.

Oh, Radiohead! They're basically my fourth favorite band of all time. OK Computer is absolutely fantastic, though I'm currently obsessing over the song “Fake Plastic Trees”.

Oh good, another Arcade Fire fan! I recently had a listen to Neon Bible and really liked it. Still need to purchase the Suburbs though…
