Where is the Green Day love on here??  LOL I absolutely adore Billie Joe Armstrong and the rest of Green Day.  They would probably be on my top 5 list of bands.  I love any band whose singer has a weird, distinct voice.  My favorites are:

Foo Fighters, The Doors, Nirvana, Creed, Oasis, Death Cab for Cutie, U2, Rolling Stones, and a couple newer bands like The Killers and The Script.  These bands basically set the standard for all the other bands/artists I listen to.

Green Day Appreciation!!  I LOVE GREEN DAY!!heart heart

I have a few contenders: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Blue Rodeo, the Guess Who, Clash, etc. Arcade Fire is also awesome.

New band I just found that I adore, Mona. Alternative rock band that I only discovered a few days ago. Apparently they are quite popular in England, not so much in the US though. The album is available there, but not in the US until September. Thank god for youtube. I just love discovering new bands, don't you?

*Late comment is so late*

Sorry I havn't been on lately, I've been super-busy!

You guys have amazing taste in music, and I've been trying to check some of these bands/musicians, and I'm finding new musical love.

I also realized I forgot 10-ish or so bands/musicians. No big deal.

Adding: The Who, The Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Monkees, The Beach Boys , The Kinks, Simon and Garfunkel, The Ramones, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Cream, Boston, B,S,&T, Cheap Trick, & David Bowie.

I'm having a bit of Pink Floyd phase at the moment.. Has anyone else seen the film The Wall? It's fantastic, I recommend it entirely!

But other than that, I like Blur, The Who, The Doors, Pixies, Radiohead, Coldplay (what do people think of the new songs?)… and yeah. Stuff like that. brian-epstein

Well, I also love Pink Floyd. 🙂
I think they are just brilliant, and I have been wanting to watch the wall for a while. :I I should!
Led Zeppelin and the Doors are great too. 🙂

Oh, the Wall really is excellent – you should definitely watch it! I thought it was going to be hard to follow, seeing as it has pretty much no dialogue, but I really loved it..

What's your favourite Pink Floyd album?

Yeah, Led Zeppelin is pretty much the one band from that era that I don't know very well. I should, really, because everyone tells me that they're really good, but I've just never really got around to listening to them…

It's good to know I'm not alone on The Monkees.

I also like The Posies, Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, (not really a band) Lady Gaga, Herman's Hermits, Fats Domino, The Four Seasons, The Hollies, and alot of other stuff.

My music is all over the place.

I like all those bands too! New Coldplay songs… well to be honest, I only gave each one of them one listen. Which is strange because they were my favourite band 2 years ago. I guess I'm kind of waiting for the album to drop so I can get the full effect. What did you think?

I think my top 5 right now is: 1. Beatles  2. Rolling Stones  3. Coldplay  4. Jack Johnson  5. Radiohead/Chuck Berry/David Guetta. Just momentarily (though the top 2 never really move, except for interchanging each other now and again)
