Numero uno in my books. apple01

And it’s not even close, even though I love other Bands, like Zeppelin, Scorpions, Floyd, Stones, Sabbath, Who, etc…

I always revert back to my beloved Beatles..

Now that i am home and am infront of my record collection… I will now do an A-Z of all the artists I have + some ones I really want. I also went through my liked songs… which is currently at 1,159.

This is basically a history of my music taste as some of the artist on here i don’t like as much as i once did.

Hunter Cross and Mainstreet Project are local artists to me.

I’d like to think I have range.

Geez, none of you guys will stick to 26 choices…a-hard-days-night-ringo-14…still, nice to see some love for Beefheart, X, and Meat Puppets around here!

@Neely, your choice of Green River: You’re referring to the 80s Pacific Northwest band that split into Mudhoney and Pearl Jam?

I would like to ask a question that i think is fascinating… especially for a beatles forum…

What are your favourite albums from the 2010s by artists that started around that time?

For me it would have to be In The Mountain And In The Cloud by Portugal. The Man. It has been one of my favourite albums for years now. I love how all of the songs reference other songs that are on the same album if that makes sense. It also has an incredibly consistent sound. I love this album so much. I don’t think there is a single bad song on it.

I also like Currents by Tame Impala. It’s just perfect for when i am feeling like listening to newer music. My favourite song on the album is Eventually. From the opener  to the closer it is a well rounded album to have been released in 2015 lol.

Next is Skeleton Krew’s EP The Fall. I saw them play the whole ep live in 2017 when I was 8 years old. the lead singer Hunter likes to call the genre southern gothic rock so if you’re into that check this EP out. My favourite song on this would have to be Smile and Skeleton Key.

Now to see which Rusty Cage album I like the most…. this is difficult because I grew up listening to all of his albums and reading his comics. I am going to include 2 albums… Blues, Gospels, & What-Have-Yous Volume I and Heretics Volume II. Everytime I am struggling to write my own music I listen to these 2 albums. They just both inspire me so much. I do have to say I dont like the songs Time Of Dying, There Isn’t Any God . for time of dying it’s the mix i just really hate. for there isn’t any god i feel like he was trying to be too edgy (which can get old). The songs I do love on both songs are Poor Narrator, With Extreme Prejudice, Parasomnia, The Devil’s Bagel, Shame, and Requiem of the Crazies.

I have no clue why I wrote all of this.

I’m embarrassed to say that there’s very little I’ve heard, but I’ve enjoyed this one a few times, after Beatlebug hipped me to it a few years back
