I don’t think so this is about whether your favorite band is the Beatles. The other is you talking about other not Beatles bands
If you can't log in and can't use the forum go here and someone will help you out.

BroadcastAh, very good choices. I didn’t know there was someone on BB who shared a similar taste in music to me (aside from the Beatles, obviously). It took me a while to get into Cocteau Twins. I remember the first album I listened to, I thought there was something wrong with my iPod as I couldn’t understand what was being sung… that’s when I realised Elizabeth Fraser has a very unique way of singing.
The Beatles my favourite band? Hmm… they certainly used to be, but I’m not so sure anymore. I spend most of my time listening to obscure (and some not so obscure) post-punk/darkwave bands nowadays. I’m sure I’ll come back to the Beatles one day, though.
My dad is really into Cocteau Twins too. I remember hearing it for the first time, very unique. I thought it was a bit weird, but very cool.
I myself am getting more into The Smiths and The Cure, from that list. The Jesus and Mary Chain are cool too.
Anyway, I can answer the thread’s question with a firm YES.
Other favourites are Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, Oasis and Arctic Monkeys, but they’re not anywhere near The Beatles.

Post-punk is good. Do you like Joy Division or Sonic Youth?

Joy Division, definitely. I had the enormous pleasure of meeting Bernard Sumner last month, and that was great. Lovely guy. Sonic Youth… no, not so much. Play Dead, Public Image, The Chameleons, Section 25, Sad Lovers & Giants, Clock DVA (more EBM), Siouxsie and the Banshees and Bauhaus are all bands under the post-punk umbrella I like a lot.
VB/mods, I apologise if we’re simply to state ”yes” or ”no” in this thread. I saw Expert Texpert’s post and realised we had some favourite bands in common, which seemed worth commenting on.

My top 10 Bands:
1. Led Zeppelin – They got me out of listening to current commercial horrible music, and for that reason alone they are #1. Oh and they are amazing.
2. The Beatles – Just as good really, but they have been a more of recent addition to my tastes. Could take the top spot though!
3. The Who
4. Split Enz (New Zealand represent!)
5. Yes
6. Dragon (NZ represent! Again)
7. Pink Floyd
8. The Moody Blues
9. Deep Purple
10. The Rolling Stones

Don’t you have to admit it kinda spoils you for other musicians tho? Everything else seems kinda… well, I won’t say “inferior” but you catch me. It’s now almost all I listen to.
Well, the title says “Are the beatles your favourite band “. I only answered that. I listen to a lot of musicians like
Coldplay (used to listen to them when I was depressed ) Led Zeppelin (Im getting into them but I think they are over-hyped as the heaviest band . I was quite disappointed when I first listened to them. Black Sabbath is more heavy) Bob Dylan (2nd fav after beatles ) Guns n Roses Bon Jovi (just started ) (Hopefully mmm won’t kill me for naming the above 2 bands) U2 & Police (Have listened to a very few songs) Arctic Monkeys (Favourite Modern Rock Band) Pink Floyd (Syd’s era and his solo) Queen (just getting into them) Rolling Stones But after listening to them, Beatles remains my fav

1, The Beatles
2, The Rolling Stones (they’re so sexy and they’ve made so hot numbers )
3, Elvis Presley (I love him since I was about 5 years old), Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry
4, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Nirvana, Metallica, Kiss (like most teenagers, I can’t live without rock and heavy metal)
5, Queen
So the answer is YES but The Stones is near to their position. I can’t stand the ‘Wonderwall’ of the Oasis, I think it’s really sounds like some Beatles numbers.

U2 (mostly because my wife loves them)Haha. It reminded me of somebody who listens to some rock music because of his crush. Haha, he’s a big poser.
My friend is absolutely guilty of this. He suddenly liked Nirvana, Warpaint, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead and even the Vampire Diaries because a girl he likes likes those things. What’s really annoying there is that I like the same girl (really really long story), and I’ve actually liked all of those things (except the Vampire Diaries, which I still hate), since before I met her.

The word for it is “irony”.

1. THE MONKEES. (Jk, Its The Beatles)
Nice one. I am going to come out now and admit I actually quite like the Monkees
I went to see Mike Nesmith in concert many many moons ago (when he had Rio on the charts) and it was a great show. I wanted to go and see them when they were in Brisbane in the 60s but my Mum thought I was too young!

I like the Monkees too, although I’m not really a fan of Davy Jones’ singing on a lot of songs (ex. Daydream Believer). The ones Micky Dolenz did are my favorite.

Rush (My top favourite after The Fab Four–I know a lot people loathe them, but I’ve dug them since high school oh so many years ago…)
Led Zeppelin
The Police
The Clash
TOOLI like them. I think YYZ is the greatest rock instrumental of all time, and 2112 is the greatest long form rock opera. (I haven’t heard any Pink Floyd stuff, which I’ve heard is good, so this could change once I hear it)
Agreed @IveJustSeenAFaceo and @OneCoolCat. Rush, in my opinion, is very cool. Geddy Lee’s vocals and bass playing are both very cool in their own right, but I think that it is even more amazing that he can do them both at the same time. And I’ve been intrigued at learning the guitar styles of Alex Lifeson. They deserve a lot of credit.
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.
