Oh yes they do. Love them. Check out this song, by the Arctic Monkeys' lead singer Alex Turner and Miles Kane. wicked. plus they kinda look like Beatles here.

Offline Well, if he is saying Abbey Road has a better final 3 tracks, the final 3 of AR is Carry That Weight (Meh), The End (Love it) and Her Majesty (again, meh). So I still believe Sigh No More has a better final 3.

Offline This will sound really stupid but dont people view the last 3 tracks of Abbey Road as Golden Slumbers /Carry That Weight /the end and overlook Her Majesty . I know theyre not but they do come as a threesome.
If only the beatles had finished with The End , life would be so much easier.

I love this song. My friend showed it to me. I actually just found out that Alex Turner was in the Last Shadow Puppets last night. I've known about LSP longer than I've known about AM. My world got a little brighter at that moment.

Offline Yeah! They don't have much material but it's really good stuff! I like the live version of this song way better than the album version. I really do like Alex's voice too. and the guitar that he's playing… the Gretsch like the one George played sometimes… well I just really like the tone of it. I want one.

I actually agree with you Walrus as it was originally absent from the tracklisting but its not anymore as it is listed on the cd. For me the end of Abbey Road is The End , you just get a nice ribbon/cherry put on the top.
If life was simple and perfect the beatles cannon would have finished with The End , tho Johns 'i hope we passed the audition' comment is still a great way to end (i ignore Free As A Bird and Real Love and am glad they didnt reach #1 and mess up 1).

I’d agree with that. I don’t understand their popularity at all.
Non-Brits: pony = pony trap = crap. Cockney (east London) rhyming slang. Don’t ask me why east-enders are known as cockneys – I have no idea.

Offline It's more about the lyrics for me with their music. I'm the type of person that normally looks more at lyrics than rhythms or instrumentation or things like that. I like stuff with meaning and I don't think I've found a Mumford and Sons song yet that doesn't have lyrics that blow my mind. Especially songs like Awake My Soul and The Cave which relate to me pretty personally. It's just that their lyrics are able to make you connect and feel something with the music and I always admire that in an artist. One reason I like The Beatles is because some of their songs have such amazing meaningful lyrics. Same thing with a lot of new artists coming out of the woodwork right now, it's because they know how to write lyrics that make you feel like your heart is breaking or is being lifted to glorious heights.

Even if you don't speak spanish! it doesn't matter, I think they're one of the best bands in the history of latin american rock, pure 80's and 90's! …But I also like bands that you all know: U2, coldplay, genesis, and Peter Gabriel!
